Been looking out for your review on this box as you had mentioned it previously and where just waiting on its arrival. Love the colour, stands out from others, the spec it great along with the performance. Although it is not Android TV it does support voice control, and with a clean look to it makes it easy to navigate through. Only slightly let down by Netflix and single band WiFi but at the price it is livable. As always thanks for the review Chigz.

Very impressive performance from the box, almost 3,000 points more than the other boxes with the same SoC, and very close to the Amlogic 912 level of performance, might be the best under $60 budget box available right now.

Yes the performance was very good, one of the reasons for the boost, is there is a much faster internal storage being used and that helps everything run smooth and faster.

Hi, I just got this box, and I like it, but how do you turn it on from the remote? I can only turn the box on by unplugging the power supply. Other than that, I love the box. Thank you for your help.

It helps to compare with other models before purchase I have a questions. Is there a limit to installing the Google Play app? Does app install to this model as well as to other models? Or are other models limited in their ability to find and install apps too? I wonder if it can be freely installed like a mobile phone .

Looks like an interesting box, but I have two questions. Does the remote function as a gyro type fly mouse or just an air mouse that is controlled with the up, down, left and right buttons. And can you pull up a navigation and status bar? THANKS MUCH!

No there is no gyro air mouse function. There is a navigational mouse and you can pull up the bars by with it.

Yes the max is a great box offering lots of performance power. Only let down is netflix 480p.

Nice unboxing and review... lots of people are complaining that when the box is switched off using the remote it can’t be switched on again and they have to unplug it from the mains to reboot it? Others complain the WiFi keeps dropping off and it forgets password and they have to enter their WiFi password again? Have you noticed any of these problems? This is from gearbests reviews from purchasers of this box.

I watched a few TV shows back to back no issues with wifi. No overheating and I was able to switch on and off with remote. I had none of the issues you mentioned.

What do you think of the R99 V2 from Entertainment Box. I believe they have discontinued the R99 but this one has the RK3328 cpu.

The V2 is a much lower spec than the original v99, so I think they are misleading by calling it the V2. Its a step backwards.

Nice, but I don't have a TV. So, I won't be able to use this. I still believe they should make a gadget ((like this) that you can hook up to your laptop and bring in TV? Most important is software. The firmware has to be fast and stable, then you will have a good experience. As I have had high spec TV boxes let down by the firmware. So for me the firmware is most important.
