I remember, probably imperfectly the problems with self reporting. It used to be accepted the 60% of men self reporting having had experienced premarital sex with 40% of women self reported premarital sex were somehow contributing to a worthwhile statistic. I seemed to be the only person on the planet concerned at this imbalance. Either the active women were exceptionally active or someone or everyone was lying.

...And what can one human pair do to influence the sex of their child? Well it has nothing to do with who is wearing a sock on which foot.. It has to do with when during the month and how often.... One a week or so can be enough... if you want a girl. Not too often because all those male sperm swim faster and "live" shorter than the female sperm. It the pair want a boy... every day (even more often) during the week the woman is most fertile... It has worked for lots of pairs for centuries.

Here’s a fun fact. There’s such a thing as kamikaze sperm. Studies have shown that sperm isn’t necessarily all competing against each other to “win” and that some sperm work together as blocks or barriers to help certain sperm beat others. They literally found little Kamikaze sperm that torpedo themselves into others and work together for a common goal.
