Those moments hold a special place in my heart: coming home from school, turning on the TV, and getting lost in those songs playing on repeat. It's hard to believe that what felt like our everyday life has transformed into a memory from 25 years ago. Those moments remain so vivid and fresh in my mind, almost as if they were just yesterday. Yet, here we are now, reflecting on the passage of time... how did it happen? 🥲😩

Spice Girls were amazing, but S Club 7 were pure magic. As an adult I can't see this and not feel the anguish they must've felt being mismanaged and underpaid.
@arturocas904 жыл бұрын
Who knows how well they got paid but they were as good as this type of group could've gotten in the 90's/00's. They lasted longer than the Spice Girls, had more albums and had the TV Show. Their brand was pretty strong too. Of course they never acquired world domination like Spice Girls did but I attribute that to two things: 1. Girl/Boy groups have never dominated music. You can think of Abba but basically it was just the ladies upfront, these was a whole 7-ensemble group most of the time. 2. Spice Girls had a message and it did have to do with women's movement of standing out in a male-dominated industry. That went above and beyond. S Club 7, just like Steps, were just about selling fun music, no real message behind. Both did great! S Club 7 did amazing during their 5 years together and their reunion! :-D
@sunnyduscle3 жыл бұрын
@@arturocas90 lol you have no idea! Simon Fuller paid them peanuts. They each only made about £20k a year on average despite selling50m albums and doing TV shows all. No single member too over £200k in their entire period in the band. Fuller made them sign a slave contract when they were teens. Hope he rots in hell.
@matthewvaughan81923 жыл бұрын
Sorry but why should they deserve to be millionaires? The people who wrote their songs (not the band in like 95% of cases, mostly Simon Ellis) deserved the big bucks because some of them are exceptionally written. The actual band deserves to make good money (definitely more than 20k but millions either) for the effort of touring, publicity, choreography, & having good voices, but they should have never been making most of the money because ultimately they are not creating value unlike the songwriters. It’s not difficult to find 7 people who can sing. It’s very difficult to find songwriters who can write multiple number 1 hits

What is love, cos baby I don't know I got a funny feeling in my heart If this is love - it feels like butterflies So tell me baby is this how it starts I know I've never felt like this before You're like a drug you got me wanting more I've got to let you know - I've got to let you know You're - you're my number one I'd do anything for you Catch the rain from the sky, even hold back the tide for you Baby baby, you're - you're my number one With you I know I belong I put the radio on and it's always playing our song Na na na na.. Tell me what - what have I gotta do Cos I wanna lay a claim on you To make you mine - for now and for all time So tell me baby what I gotta do I know I've never felt like this before You're like a drug you got me wanting more I've got to let you know - I've got to let you know You're - you're my number one I'd do anything for you Catch the rain from the sky, even hold back the tide for you Baby baby, you're - you're my number one With you I know I belong I put the radio on and it's always playing our song And there ain't nothing I won't do I'd walk on water just to be with you Baby baby, you're - you're my number one I'd do anything for you Catch the rain from the sky, even hold back the tide for you Baby baby, you're - you're my number one With you I know I belong I put the radio on and it's always playing our song
