What To Do When Your Back Hurts From Scoliosis?

I wish clinics that specialize in scoliosis are part of more health care plans. I’m offered physical therapy, pills and injections for the pain. The pills make me dizzy. Physical therapy works but anything can happen in the real world. I’m trying injections for the first time. I want to decompress my spine because I know my nerves are pinched. Chiropractic care wasn’t even suggested as an option for pain relief. It makes me sad because how am I supposed to get better if I’m just masking the pain.

I'm 53 and have a Harrington rod since age 15. I had an S curve and still have a significant curve but I can't remember the degree of it atm. The older I'm getting the more painful my back is becoming, of course. It's a very painful condition from my experience. The surgery was the worst and there's no way I would have it operated on again. I fear how painful this will be in 10 yrs. I wonder if I'll be able to walk. Scary.

I'm in the same boat my degree was 75% , MY HARRINGTON rod was done in 77 I was 12yrs - 13yrs and also had plaster on whole torso for 12mths and a brace for 12mths....As I got older my muscles and nerves a d cracking of my spine,..I had xrays done not long ago and my spine has shifted and deteriated alot over the yrs...I can totally relate to you..I found hash cookies can relax your muscles which can help or a stiff drink..LOL., Best of luck you are not alone..
