My trick to crab scooping is hop in my boat put it in gear and stand up the front with a head torch and get them that way don't have to get wet

Spent alot of my time fishing Matilda bay Yacht club there catching big black Bream. I would catch little crabs under the rocks and use them for bait. Never crabbed there. Nice work 🤘

G'day brother I had some ice at home so just chilled them on that, cleaned the next day but you can refrigerate over night no problem clean then cook is ok👌 need to head to mandurah for a scoop check things out plus drop some nets off the boat and yak, us dive for some crabs too🤣👌 so much to do us the other fishing. That sauce looked great, might have to claim it as my own. Maybe crack the claws before you cook them, lets the sauce get onto the meat and don't have to mess around breaking them when eating them.

@@SaltyFishosStaySalty I went out with a mate last Saturday on the Swan, got 15 between 3 of us, then I went to Mandurah scooping on the Monday, ended up with 5 after a few hours. Honestly I prefer scooping than on a boat but I'm a bit crabbed out at the moment but will give it another go soon. Good videos BTW

@@SaltyFishosStaySalty I do the best crab cakes 🦀🦀🦀🤤🤤🤤 I make sure there's 75% crab meat in mine so they are full of flavour, along with chilli, lime, coriander etc (secret recipe) one tip l share- boil the potatoes in Thier skins and let dry completely before peeling, mashing and adding the other ingredients.. nobody likes a sloppy crab cake 😏😜🤣

That Karen at the end must not have lived in Perth very long. You don't need a crabbing license when you're scooping.

I do like how the Swan River has done the 5 crab per person i still believe the 10 crab per person down south like in Mandurah is a bit too much and i also go by the only catch enough for a feed
