Dont forget to unscrew the lid on your reservoir! And place a towel around it!!! Right!? I mean maybe its fine but maybe not
@VirberelloScooterTips22 күн бұрын
You don’t need that unless you have an unbalanced ratio of brake fluid and brake pads thickness but if you like to be sure do that and lose 25 minutes to remove all the plastic to go to remove your reservoir cover on the gy6 body style scooter other scooters are easier to do that. Thank you for watching my video

How to know that the break pads are worn out?

Hey there have a question my front brakes were feeling spongy so I followed the bleeding video with the 1 man bleeder and this was not fixing the problem I ended up taking the calipers off and noticed that they were very pushed forward. I pushed them back with a clamp and actually changed the pads(I had extra) what I noticed is that the pads only go down about 1/4 to 1/2 inch onto the caliper ( i can send you photo if helpful) no matter how i positioned the caliper i could not get more of the pads over the rotor. Any thoughts? My breaking is much better, but shouldn't the pad cover more of the rotor Could my rotors be too small in diameter? Could there be a different issue? How far down to your pads go into the rotor? Thank you Chris
@VirberelloScooterTips4 жыл бұрын
Hello Chris the problem with the caliper that does not finish the brake pad is normal and is a bad design from the Chinese company like many other little little things in this type of scooters your rotor is fine is just the pistons that they are slightly short the best thing to do to correct the problem will be to make a spacer to place on the inside of the piston calipers and make that with an older brake pad and sand or grind that down to a 1.5mm thickness but with the price that I buy the new brake pads from 6 to 8 dollars for a pair of brake pad I'm not going to go crazy and spend my time of making a spacer . Thank you for watching my video and be safe my friend
