Hi! What spring load do you use for this exercise?
@PilatesEncyclopedia Жыл бұрын
I usually start with one spring to make sure the glutes are actually firing, then you could increase. But if you’re doing the hands-free version you probably can’t go too heavy before you push the Reformer around your studio. 😅 If you push your hands against the foot bar, you can go up to two springs. The heavier the springs, though, the less your lateral hip stabilizers work on the supporting leg. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Is this classical? ¡Also what's tje dofference with scooter without the moon box?
@PilatesEncyclopedia3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah, I'm not sure if it's classical. I try not to differentiate between classical and contemporary. If an exercise works or has benefits then I use it. I learned this exercise in my Polestar Pilates training. Regarding the box: you won't need the box if your reformer is the standard 14 inch height. The Reformer in this video is taller (18") and I need the box so that the knee that's on the carriage doesn't touch the carriage. Hope this helps.
