I got placed through placement in a big MNC after diploma itself.my salary package is way more than which offered to fresh engineering graduate.but after joining in the company what I found is repitative work nothing new.fed up of it because I'm more of design oriented person and left that job in a year.doing my degree and doing preparation for 2022 m.des.what I found after doing that 1 year job is that job satisfaction is reality.and money will come later if you have skills.

Sir, can you plz help me to clear my confusion? My son got alottment in IIT Bombay BDes...... jee main exam os pensing now and there may be a chance to get seat in b tech cs or electronics in nit calicut..... so confused what to accept.. b des from iit bombay... or b tech from nit....... dont have much knowledge about designing career..... belongs to poor fmly, so placement and salary also matters..... can u suggest good decision plzzzzzzz

money is an outcome of good work, if you enjoy designing, you will make money eventually but the reverse is not true. Money should not be your first motivation for choice of career.

Sir, request you to please throw some light on the academics part. What are the opportunities one can fetch for a PhD in India and abroad after masters say in Interaction Design/Graphic Design/Product Design from a Design institute like NID or the IITs. Is teaching the only option after PhD?

+Mridul Mandal for phd i would say go abroad, India is not a research oriented country :) many companies hire PHD students as well.

Money is necessary i am not denying that all m saying is money cannot be your primary motivation to choose a career and if it is money then design is not the right stream for such people. :)

Hello you don’t need to worry about money if you are able to crack NID then you can apply for education loan and scholar ship. a student from poor family can also manage to study at NID.
