Congratulations on a successful hunt! I totally agree with you in that most folks don't understand hunting today, since society has alienated them to the thought of providing for yourself naturally. These will be the first to succumb when the [BEEP] hits the fan.

When i processed my first hog, it takes me over twoo hours to skin and cut into parts and debone ribs. Had to make stand to hang it, fight with weigh to actualy hang it. Nothing easy. Watched few videos long before you start help alot, but its now probably banned( absolutely dondt understand why food processing considered notFamilyFriendlyContent). Now i can field dress deer in woods under 20 minutes with 2 inch blade knife. I am not expert hunter, but yeah its posible if you want to learn new things and dont afraid of mistakes. You can learn skin tanning, stuff animals/birds, learn hunt new species, learn how to trap fox/beaver ... There are many ways. But for me its not survival, but another hobby added to fishing , started with watching Ray Mears videos.
@walkerderby8849
@walkerderby8849 14 күн бұрын
Yes anyone can do it. Starting off with small game is your best bet to get used to harvesting and skinning. Everyone should do it. Same with fishing. There’s a famous quote “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime” the same implies for hunting. When you’re capable of these things it gives you more respect for nature and the animals as well as your food.

Good video Chris, very informative! Nice job on getting the deer! The way you see the hunt and how you explained it was well done! You definitely know your way around a deer, what part of the deer goes where, your processing of the deer. Hope that makes sense. Have to say the lion looked really good! Nice job man! Look forward to your next one. Take care.

I suspect you're using a rifled barrel or smooth bore with a rifled choke insert and sub-caliber slugs for greater range and accuracy!? Do you prefer Remington Winchester or Federal ammo? I've always preferred Remington ammo due to the clean burning propellant often requiring minimal barrel cleaning. I have noticed high power Federal shotgun rounds rarely leave any residue behind though that may be common due to the greater propellant force not allowing lingering smoke to cool in the barrel to build up soot.

That was a great hunt. And that little cabin is so freaking cool that's awesome and also why didn't you use or eat the liver.? I would have ate the heart liver back straps first. And then the bones and like ribs and stuff like that the neck meet how come you didn't take those to at least stew those down into a stew or a broth or something like that? But I love this video I'm not putting it down or shaming it at all. I'm just wondering why you didn't do that, and maybe you did and you didn't tell everybody that. I would love to see how you do that though like if you just take the whole animal the leftover carcass and stew it down into a nice stew or forever to broth or something show us how you use the whole animal sometime please and thank you.
