This was amazing. I wish something like this would air on national television. Teenagers should be hearing this, instead of 'beta bs ache marks le lo zindagi set ho jae gi.'

I was damn passionate about Studying psychology but I was worried about job opportunities and this Podcast literally changed my perspective on various things, I'm glad I listened to this podcast and huge thanks to Muzamil and Ali

Did you go into it? How is the experience so far?
@SZEditor9 ай бұрын
Nah, I haven't pursued psychology as a career because, after some introspection, I realized that my interest in psychology is limited to reading, researching and thinking about various topics related to it. It's more of a hobby for me, and I don't have a solid interest in dedicating four years of study to become a psychologist. However, I still spend some time reading non-fictional and other books on psychology. If you want to study psychology as a hobby, there's no need to go to university. You can easily find some good courses on Coursera, and if you want certification or a degree, you can get it through Coursera as well. In my opinion, we should only go to university for subjects that require professional licensing, such as medicine, psychiatry, advocacy, dentistry, etc. Lmk if you have any other things to ask.

This conversation is something that our youngers, who are looking for some degree to pursue , should listen to & also for those who keep talking about so called "scope of a certain degree".I wish i would have seen this podcast before selecting medical. This opened up my mind but at the same time, confused me. Medical is something i don't really like nd don't even feel like doing it for rest of my life but i went for it just because of my parents' wish. And cuz of so called society norms.

Nice thoughts, although i feel like you could touch the opportunity part a little more. From my experience there are three things that play the major role Paisa(financial situation) Moqa (opportunity) Hunar(skill) Moqa and hunar is obviously vital. Paisa is something that give you room to create both if not exists. Some other issues are lack of career guidance and help finding a potential interests of individual while schooling and the gap between the academia and industry. But overall this session was really nice.

amazing podcast. I agree with Ali that one needs to be a trained therapist before coming in practice. the dilemma is if you are doing unpaid internship you are not supervised properly because of untrained supervisors. and alternatively if you heir a clinical supervisor or wants to get certified in any therapy you need money. and you need whole a-lot of money to be called as trained therapist.
