Just starting out, are the old ASE smooth round rocks on beach near water still metal scraps? Need some to just get going, as those shown are TOO far to get to on foot

No, you can get the odd piece from red rocks, I found if it gives sand it won’t give metal. Metal is tricky to find and I’ve only found it in these locations, sometimes the nodes are really small and hard to spot
