Asala Boluwaduro already did a great job of interpreting Reminisce's verse but there are a few bits on the track that I think you might have missed because... context. 3:12 "They say Diezani chop the whole cake? Another 4 years, she go show face" Diezani Alison-Madueke was a former minister in Nigeria who's being investigated by the current administration for embezzling public funds. She's since left the country and we keep hearing sensational news about how much she stole, the value of her houses and jewelry etc. But as usual in Nigerian politics, once this administration is out of office in the next 4 years, she's likely to return, be cleared of all charges, and possibly even get another public office. 7:16 "Sojo wey suppose defend us, o pawa ni toll gate" Meaning: Soldiers meant to defend us, killed us at the toll gate (another reference to the #EndSARS protest killings from 20th October 2020) 7:23 "Sharwama and the dildo na the same size" There's a stereotype about Nigerian girls liking Sharwama. So essentially it costs as much to feed a woman as it would cost to pleasure her... Make of that what you will. Aside being a 🔥 jam, this track was also socially conscious af #GSGang

This was a fun track. And your reaction was fire, despite the bits in broken English. I totally agree with this 9:20. There's a dope track by Reminisce, Olamide and Phyno called "Local Rappers". Reminisce and Olamide both rapped in Yoruba, a language I'm very familiar with, but my favourite part of the jam was Phyno's verse, despite the fact that he rapped in Igbo, a language I don't understand at all. You should check out the video... it's totally your vibe (except for the language barrier)
