The vase is a fine example of my theory that an expert repair on most pieces is ok for ordinary collectors. There is quite a lot to enjoy before you see the repair. Especially if it is displayed slightly above eye level. Wonderful find. If the vase were glass then it would likely be a very different story.

I had an entire silver plate coffee pot set with tray, sugar creamer the whole nine yards that was really tarnished. This lady wanted to buy it for $30 in my area, local drop off. My boyfriend decides to polish it and make it nice for her. He does an excellent job and the thing is spotless. Take it to her and she was completely crest fallen that we'd polished it. She had wanted it because it was tarnished. Ever since I just stay clear of silver plate entirely. lol

Yes, Fire and Light was made here locally. It skyrocketed in price since they closed. I sold two glasses on Ebay for over $600 and a vase for over $700. Once in awhile you'll come across people who don't know what it's worth and recently I made $2000 off of a $500 purchase. Im holding onto the rest of my pieces for now especially since some are sentimental gifts. Some of it is signed, but not all. There's a FB group if you wasnt to learn more.

Our budgie used to do that, stay silent until the theme tune to the news played, just as my father was coming in to watch, and then endlessly chirrup and chatter and mutter and flutter throughout the whole news programme much to ,my usually patient, father’s annoyance. You handle the camera in a smooth fashion as you go looking for things that are of interest to you. As you pan it also gives the viewers time to look at the other surrounding things there. I was just wondering if you ever just untape the containers and look inside before you buy them. Or if you have had a bad experience with one once you get home with it. Just curious.
