But as you and I know we can't surf 24/7 due to our solar system and the way the sun circles around the earth. Not to mention there's not swell 24/7. But in this video, I could care less about the journey, I skip straight to the action. Or as you like to call it, the reward 😂

You have all these sponsored surfers who are paid to travel the globe and throw out these expensive videos using paid, professional, videographers and editors; some are good like Dane R's and Mason Ho's, but the majority suck! Then I come across this video with a normal unpaid surfer like myself, traveling on his own dime; filming and editing his own videos; and he wipes out every professional video I have seen prior. This video kept me entertained the entire time. It tied in the reality of what it's like to surf, possibly the best wave ever, and the sacrifices it takes to travel there. And in the end, he answers the question we were all asking ourselves: Was it worth it? Was it worth the money? Was it worth the long brutal flights? Was it worth the risk of getting skunked? Was it worth dangers involved in traveling to far away places? And the answer was yes! Great video! Great job!

Thank you so much! But i am a paid professional... So while I do all my own editing, and a lot of my own filming, that is part of my job. I made the choice to spend the money, but it comes from my yearly budget i set aside for travel. It makes a decision like that easier, than if i was paying out of pocket for one surf trip a year, but it is still very stressful, cause if i make the wrong choice, then it's obviously money poorly spent. I worked at Rossing in 76,left my board in Capetown,used to get pissed in Swakop and Walvis on Friday nights then drive back to work on Saturday.Ive no doubt that place was firing then on the same swells as ELands bay.I was next to the best wave in the world and didnt know it.There were no surfers there then .
