Great updated Wayne. Every tent has it pros and cons. For me, if it stays up in storms and keeps me dry I can usually deal with the rest. This looks like a pretty good tent.

Exactly that is what matters to me as well. Thanks Dawn and ATB.

wayne, i use the snugpak bunker tent, it is a three man 4 season tent, similar setup but has the more needed extra room, great tent. As a taller ( 6' 4" ) person i needed the room, i might put in an additional person but certainly no more than that, also when i put the inner portion with the outer portion i than decided that they would be kept together, it took me awhile to put together. Great review, Snugpak makes a great tent..........
@kullcraven7 жыл бұрын
Yeah Ben i leave mine together as well, just put the poles in and done. This one does what is needed and very well, just not alot of room, tho kept my gear and myself dry :)

Great Overview on the Scorpion 2 Tent. Perfect size for a hiker and even better it does what it suppose to do, keeping you dry and comfortable out in the element. Thanks for sharing with us and Best Regards -Yves

Nice review. I have the Scorpion 3. A few weeks ago, I spent 4 nights in mine. No issues at all. Good solid tent. The condensation on the outer portion should stay there and then run down to the ground if it gets heavy enough. That is the benefit of the outer and clipped inner. -- Marty
@kullcraven7 жыл бұрын
Your correct the condensation does not effect you inside. The 3 is larger but also more weight, so both have their benefits. :)

Nice review. Condensation is always an issue but you stayed dry so that's good.

A nice looking tent Wayne. Thanks for the review. Have you ever used it without the inner? How was it? Any idea on the weight of the tent minus the inner tent?ThanksNate
@kullcraven7 жыл бұрын
No i have them joined together all the time and just set it up fast, with the poles. Always had bugs when i used it , so always used the inner but had it in rain a few times and it worked awesome.

FYI...from experience of 50 years, it is better to put all of your poles in before you start bending them in place.

Hey Wayne, Thanks for the video. I have the Snugpak Scorpion 3 tent (it's a bit larger (3 man) than the Scorpion 2). I usually use a tarp under the tent and the tarp extends into the porch area. I also usually bring a small rug to use at the entrance (like the ones you get as welcome mats for the house with a rubber bottom). This gives me something to kneel on when getting in the tent an keeps my knees clean and dry. If I was backpacking or something I would probably leave the rug and maybe the tarp at home. So it may depend how far the stuff needs to be carried.Also, since the Scorpion tents are made to setup fly first, you could just pitch the rain fly if you didn't have to deal with bugs. I have been very happy with my Scorpion 3 for the past 3 years. Info can be found at www.proforceequipment.com/products.php?id=25God Bless!Steve

Steve I know a friend of mine has a scorpion 3 and he loves it,ay just alittle larger. It all depends also on wight and size, since these are meant to be bacl packing tents as well. Appreciate you letting me know what you have dine. Thanks.

And that's why I'll never buy that style of tent again. I'm 6'4" with one leg but trying to get stretched out is impossible never mind sitting up. I'll stick to a dome or a hammock from now on. Thanks for the review.

These fit certain needs, but at your size, i can see how it would be a pain. Thanks Stephen.
