The biggest complaint that I have is lack of airflow with helmets. I do a lot of hot weather riding. Im also down in the southeastern USA where mid to high 90s in temp and same in humidity can be brutal at times. We have all this awesome stuff on helmets. Speakers and power visors etc. Why has no one used the same small batteries and mounted a fan in these helmets to push airflow? Maybe they have and I just have not seen it? The fans are out there. I have laser engravers. The modules have a small fan to cool the lasers on top. Theyre just a hair bigger than a quarter and move a lot of air. Why one could not be mounted in the back of a helmet to pull air through is a mystery to me. I have a few old helmets and even considered trying to experiment making one just to see if it can be done. Merry Christmas and thank you for the reviews. Im still looking at new helmets and this one looked promising. Love the field of vision. But lack of airflow that you mentioned may be an issue for me.

My 960 is a good helmet. But ... I thought adventure helmets were supposed to have a little extra space between your mouth and the chin for heavy breathing when you're on the trails. This lid has very little room there for me. My lips rub the interior vent cover at times. It is a roundish helmet and there is a bit of pressure on my forehead on long rides. I do not have a long head. Almost all oval helmets don't have that issue with me. The last thing that I find is that you MUST carry a quarter with you to check that your screen is still tight. Tightening the bolts is easy, but I find I'm checking them at each stop. Again, not every helmet is perfect, but for the price, I am satisfied. thanks Frank, S

Good morning Stuart, (If you are reading this at night, please close the browser and come back in the AM so I look less foolish) I do not have a giant manly chin, so I have enough room. Nice work making me feel badly about my chin Stuart! I find that I remove the peaks now. My 950 would loosen up though, I used blue locktite. For $4 you may be able to solve the problem. For the price its the second bets helmet, and when the stock of AT-950's run out it's probably going to be the best. - Frank

Thanks for the review! I don't need a warm helmet. Cooling ventilation is a much greater concern for me.

Hello Militia, I am afraid there is a significant difference in the shields. The 960 is not a bad helmet, it's still very good. It's just not quite as well made as the 950. And, honestly, if you have not used a 950, I think anyone would be very pleased with it. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank

Please do a direct comparison with the at950. I just got hit and need a new helmet. I have been riding the 950 and am having trouble deciding. The price needs to be similar, I love the features of the 950, not sure how they truly compare though!

I have the ADX2. Worst helmet I have ever owned in 30+ years riding, and many helmets from cheap priced to premium. Peak vibrates in the wind at highway speed causing blurry vision. Peaks do not always have that effect. This peak is way too flexible compared to others I have owned, and could do with a third mounting point on top. Lining padding material takes too long to conform , and size stated does not equate to other helmets of same sizing. My chin almost always contacts the inner vent slider, and always I think if I take a tumble it is so sharp it will slice my chin badly. I cannot wear it nore than 20 minutes as I have a severe head ache. The chin and neck curtains are tight, cause neck ache, also steaming up the visor is bad as a consequence of them. I have 4 other helmets currently, and the Scorpion is the least favourite option on any given day. I don't mean to put anyone else off, but my personal experience of this brand/model has not been positive, and next choice will reflect this. I mean, even if it is cheap to buy it still has an impoprtant job to do right? Otherwise what is the point?
