Building off the EXO-AT950, the EXO-AT960 is the next evolution in Scorpion's line of adventure modular motorcycle helmets. The Scorpion EXO-AT960 can be used as a full face ADV helmet with the peak visor attached, or it can be removed for a more aerodynamic touring helmet. Three shell sizes made of Advanced LG Polycarbonate and dual density EPS, result in a helmet that is light weight, strong, and protective. The oversized eye port is extremely wide for greater peripheral vision and downward visibility, and the modular chin bar can be conveniently flipped up. I love my 950. I have had it for over 10 yrs. I picked up the NeoTech II about 4 yrs ago. I still grap the 950. I am looking forward to the 960.

I like mine. I don't mind the weight since it's a modular helmet. I find it very confortable except riding above 100 km/hr with the beak, which is flimsy (the one on the EXO-AT950 was much better) so the wind shakes my head; without the beak it's very nice helmet. I don't find it noisy at all.

yeah... crazy rattling that my biggest complain otherwise love the thing. I did gorilla glue 4 quarters to the middle rear section almost no rattling now. it would be better if the peak had 3 contact points.

I wish you had the Topo design available. Had to go with Amazon, as this look is perfect me (I am a map fan).

I wear glasses, and modular helmets are much more convenient. Currently have a Schuberth C3 Pro because it’s quiet and modular, great helmet but getting old so looking at helmets like the AT960

Did you end up getting this helmet, and are you pretty happy with how it works with your glasses? Also do you know if you can fit a comms unit (I just got the *Cardo Spirit HD* ) with this helmet? Will it fit on the left side (without using adhesive)?

it looks like the exo-gt930 mechanism for the chin-release was being used again.. it's not new, it may just be new to that model? I have the exo-gt930 and it looks like they ripped out it's guts and transferred them to a new shell. That locking tab is also on the 930, it's how they can make it J/P homologated.. so you can legally ride with the lid up as you cannot have it unlocked while moving. The top mechanism is also ripped directly off the 930 as well. It's fairly comfortable, I wonder if they improved the actual lift mechanism at all or if they are essentially using all the same tricks but with a different shell. I like mine, long distance riding leaves your neck feeling like you are stretching forward all the time (weight maybe?) but that could be me not used to taking longer rides.

Good Helmet. I like it but it has some downsides. 1. Its noisy. Since its scorpion they are wider around the ears which is great cause I got dumbo ears and wear plugs. 2. The beak is absolute garbage.

❓question: has anyone tried to use the *Cardo Spirit HD* with this helmet? Will it fit on the left side (without using adhesive)?

Did they fix the problem with the way the shield was opening? The previous model was opening in large increments. You could not just crack it open a little bit for small airflow?

This helmet has about the same shield detents as the AT950. You can see the first open position at 5:08 in this video but you still can't just barely crack it open.

New/returning rider looking to enjoy some outdoor fun. recently acquired a CRF300L for here in Las Vegas. Need a helmet! So many choices! Seems cooling would be pretty important. This helmet looks like it would not have good airflow for desert roads/trails? Would an ADV MX-9 be better? Or a Bell Moto 9 or maybe even a Shoei VFX-EVO be better for riding on road to the area and then doing off road/trails? I am also older, 68, and just looking to get back into a little riding. Your thoughts? It does get hot here!

If you plant to do shorter lengths on the road and mostly off-road/trail riding, then I would tell you to go with an off-road helmet and wear goggles. They're lighter, better venting, and I doubt you'd want to have a face shield down while trail riding. The Shoei VFX-EVO is one of my favorite helmets and some others than ventilate very well are the Fly Formula and the Klim F5 Koroyd - Chase

I bought my 950 from you guys. It's been a great helmet except for the tight jaw line when closed. Does the newer one have more room?

I haven't worn them back to back so I can't give you a good answer on that. I think the Scorpion helmets just fit snug in the cheeks in general. I remember the 950 being that way. Have your cheek pads broken in at all? - Chase

@@rmatvmc Not much at all. I waited about 8 months for it to break in with heavy use. But, I've actually had to remove the cheek pads, cut the inner foam down some, and reinstall to make it bearable on longer runs. I've had the helmet 2yrs now with it this way. And other than the jaw line squeeze, it's been an amazing helmet. I'd really be interested in if it has more room there or not. I'd definitely purchase another.

Lockable chinbar is needed for double certification..

That is correct. The AT960 is DOT and ECE 22.06 certified but does not have a lockable chin bar. The GT930 is double homologation P/J certified with the lockable chin bar.

The EXO-AT960 features KwikFit 3D sculpted cheek pads that accommodate most eyeglasses. But it will really depend on your specific glasses.

I’m not sure why these companies try so hard to make Adv helmets so cheap. Adv bikes are the most expensive off rd bike market, so at the very least they should be making a carbon option.

There are carbon options in ADV helmets such as the Klim Krios and Krios Pro also Scorpion make a XT EXO 9000 there are a few others also.
