It fitted perfectly at shop 2y ago and the reviews were great. I bought it. I found out that it tend to be tight for me at longer rides. I did trip to Morocco, where the flip mechanism was getting sometimes stuck after cca 8k kms and it disassemble after few days while riding, so I ended screwing it together at gas station. I let it fix in warranty after. At next trip after few thousands km visor flipping mechanism get stuck because of dust. This year I'll get back to flip up helmet, because I get to conclusion that flip-over mechanism is just too complicated for my style of traveling. Thanks Chris. I'm happy, that somebody in review is finally saying, it's not on Shoei level of quality. It's noisier. It's tend to me more hot, because of lack of rear vent. Both things I was expecting, but that visor is not sealing properly, so my face got wet when it was raining heavily, surprised me. I still guess it might be fine helmet for commuting and for small trips, but not in my use case.

When choosing a helmet I check the Sharp test data; the non pro version scored 4 out of 5 stars in the impact tests and the chin bar stayed fully closed in 33 % of impact tests.

I have a previous model of the Exo-Tech Evo and I have found that it isn't the helmet that fouls glasses, but any aftermarket headset. Yes it is very noisy without earplugs. I would only ride with the chin bar back at speeds up to 30mph, because of the obvious injury that could arise if your chin hits the ground. Although I like the helmet I have to agree with all your negative points. Would I buy another? - Yes

Awesome video! I have a Shoei Neotec 2 and a Klim Krios Pro and love them both. Would I buy this, no. It is a good looking helmet. I have to say the humor here is getting much better. The Dutch accent. You're going to get some comments on that. Too funny! Best!

I like Scorpion helmets they're not bad for the price I have an AT 950 and I like it it's comfortable it fits my head which is pretty much round, I have a slight oval fits good with no pressure points I had a chin mounted camera on this helmet, so this new helmet doesn't look like it would work out for me for I never ride open face.

I will be in the market for a new flip-over soon, and as someone who has had Sharks from the very first Evoline, I'll wait until the new OXO is released next year before making a decision. There is certainly a huge amount of choice in this sector now. Certainly, when compared to 15 years ago when the choice was effectively just Shark or Roof Boxer. Assuming the new Shark is released next year, will you be a stockist? I think that the reason the current Chinese and Korean Evoline clones may have fewer problems than the early Sharks has less to do with superior quality control and more to do with the fact that Shark were the pioneers of this style of helmet. The Asian brands have just let Shark do the majority of the development, then copied the best iteration and added their own tweaks. I seem to remember Shark winning a lawsuit in France about five years ago against LS2 for patent infringement.

You make a very fair set of points. And yes, we do expect to be selling the Shark. Also being thrown into the mix will be a new 22-06 flip-over helmet from Nolan. It will be interesting. CC

@Motolegends Great, thanks for the update. I shall look out for your eventual review!

@@Motolegends By the way, bearing in mind their experience in the market and the healthy competition that now exists, you would hope that the next Shark would be the cream of the crop.

since I bought (in your shop btw) and started using Schuberth C5 I am NOT able to ride in any other. And Shoei does not fit my head shape.
@jasonkelley5394Ай бұрын
Can this be put on/off in the full face helmet position or do you need to flip up first?

The helmet looks great, and I've been wearing Scorpion helmets for years, but this purchase is kind of a bust. It's extremely hot (I live in the southern U.S.), and it's very loud because the top of the visor doesn't seal. There's always a considerable gap... even with earplugs, it's always noisy. And when you bring the chinbar down, it squeezes your face quite a lot. I tend to just ride with the chinbar back most of the time. I like the style, and I'm going to get my money's worth out if it.
