This movie had by far one of my favorite villain deaths ever! Being shot square in the heart by an arrow, and sent flying back off the edge of a balcony into an exploding pillar of fire!

Agreed, but the best movie villain death was Alec Trevelyan. It's like this, only more. Guy falls a football field's length down into a solid concrete dome, yet miraculously survives only to have a giant flaming antennae land right on top of him.

“I’ve come for the woman....and your Head!” I remember the trailer to this film as a kid and that was the line they always showed, so my brother and cousins would say it to each other at the most random times like playing basketball , I’ve come for the buckets and your head!! I love this cheesy, cheesy movie. _The Mummy, The Mummy Returns_ and _The Scorpion King_ were some of my favorite films during my adolescence in the 2000's. And to this day, they're still movies I revisit fairly often. They're very fun popcorn movies and the perfect fodder for a rainy day or a nice Friday night movie at home after work.

Yo, the action scenes in this movie were GOD-TIER. You were ALWAYS on the edge of your seat and WORSHIPPING THE GOD OF DEATH every time Mathayus killed another pursuer or bad guy. It was inSANE.

Yea don't know what happened to mathayus or what made him a villian after this movie I know he makes a deal with anubis to conquer his enemies then he becomes a scorpion type monster. Then he gets killed by Rick o Connal afterwards.

I love The scorpion King!🦂🦂🦂😃❤️ The scorpion King is one of my top favorite movies with Dwayne Johnson!! I also love Dwayne as the Scorpion King in the Mummy returns too, and as Dr. Smolder Bravestone in Jumanji, as well! I even also find him to be an awesome actor And good as Johnny Depp and Will Ferrell and Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller and Jim Carrey too!

@Revan Assimilation of the Regions of Africa and other parts of the world was popular back then I am sure he was brought up around the Egyptians but maybe in some way he was intrigued with Anubis growing up from the old tales around Akkadian fires.
I prefer the alternate dialogue, "The phrophecy says I am one with the gods." "My phrophecy says, you're dead."

J Z not quite irrelevant, but definitely less important, yes. Statistically speaking, an untrained adult with a sword versus an untrained infant with a sword, chances are the adult will win. I agree though that in this particular fight, Mathayus and Memnon are both strong enough for it to not be a huge factor.

It is also because he was sparring when he deflected the arrow. When facing Mathayus you can see him sweating and panting meaning he was running out of energy. Mathayus as an assassin basically had unlimited stamina and hekd out enough to weaken Memnon enough to where he couldn't deflect the arrow. Also as the commenter above me out it. Without Cassandra's power he was also weakened.

The fight scenes were awesome in this movie 🎥 the movie was awesome the only thing I want to know is when does he turn into half scorpion? 🦂 In 2001 The Mummy Returns/The Scorpion King in that movie he turned half human and half scorpion. In 2002 The Scorpion King the whole movie is about him and he never turned into half scorpion, So theory is that in 2001 movie happened I think when The Bracelet Of Abubus came off his hand ✋and he ate that black scorpion 🦂 then grass & wood's grew instantly with the mini mummies protecting him inside the pyramid that's when he turned half scorpion.

The Scorpion King from the Mummy Returns and this Scorpion King aren't in anyway related cept by title. Two completely different characters, they just used the same name to draw interest. But in terms of actual story the two are different.

The beginning of the Mummy Returns is just a decade or so after Scorpion King, so he's changed into the very person he swore to kill. Once he took the deal Anubis offered, he truly became the Scorpion King.
