I've used the Scorpion XC RC Lite 2.4. I remember that these tires mounted on 30mm internal width wheels feel like they are not 2.4 in the eye. However, it felt like using the MAXXIS Ikon in terms of traction and handling and they are very fast rolling. Three months in I only had one severe cut in the back by a shard of glass that I've repaired and continued using the tire. Overall, the durability is also good for a lite tire. I've went back to my MAXXIS Aspen 2.4 F/R due to having to clean the sealant. Now the Pirelli is in the stock for future swapping. Tire pressure I was using was 1.19b in front 1.24b rear and I'm 70kg.

Thanks for sharing! You can be definitely considered light yourself, thus Lite works. What I noticed is that sidewalls are significantly more deforming compared to pro-wall.

Wolfpack speed on rear, cross on front! Light, supple, grippy, not expensive, can survive rocky sections without any sidewall damage. Cant comment on rolling resistance alone, but by feel they are not terrible for sure. I'm really liking them, so I'm about to buy another set for the summer.

Wolfpack tires are really great! One minor thing - certainly NOT FOR hard packed terrain. Quite soft compound, too wide spread knobs, being eaten literally in front of your eyes:) Also, unless its really muddy where you do ride, instead of Cross, Race can be considered. Cross based on the tread is for wet/soft soil - it is pretty much like Forecaster from Maxxis

Been through about 20 tyres in a year including the scorpions- thought there puncture resistance was very poor . Best tyres so far for all round performance are Michelin force xc2 closely followed by schwalbe racing ray and Ralph
@tom10crafted6 ай бұрын
That is interesting. And you know which part is the most? 20 tyres in a year - means your feedback is on majority based on luck - either good or bad. Simply said in such timeframe it is not possible to effectively and objectively test great deal of tires. Distance on tires set matters too - some requires fine tuning pressures to the liking, and what in first impression looks like no-go choice, after few tests can turn into favourite. Now with that said, second important factor is location of riding. Was it varying or all similar? Puncture resistance is exactly related to that. What type of punctures it has been? Curious!

Thanks for the video! 💪🏻 Have you ever tried Specialized S-works Fast trak's or Ground Controls? Or maybe it's something for the future tests and videos?
@tom10crafted6 ай бұрын
Yes I have, both of them. S-Works lineup is lightweight. Fast Trak is good all round tyre, suitable for both, front and rear. Available in 2.2 and 2.35, both options very light, but has extremely thin sidewalls IMO. Very good visualization is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qafLZXd5edx2qNksi=YTfdZkpQmw2jhtUp&t=219 Specs Ground Control is too chunky IMO for conditions we do usually ride in Lithuania. Well, or at least there hasn't been such need for me yet - did one Sernai XC on it, but it is more suitable for soft soil, also IMO :D As knobs on tread are huge, compound is soft - on harder surface it bends, rather than digs.
@VelniaiLT6 ай бұрын
@@tom10crafted Thanks for the info about fast traks! Maybe that i'm less experienced I feel much more comfortable with Ground controls. In my opinion Vittorias mazcal/barzo was really better in fast rolling but during colder months Specialized makes more grip on loose ground (old leaves, dirt, small rocks, even on more wet gravel ect.)
@tom10crafted6 ай бұрын
@@VelniaiLT with Specs tires compound also matters. If your Ground Controls are T5, then they are better rolling. If they were T7, it would be softer. I guess you have T5:}

Labai skiriasi slėgis padangose tarp 2.2 ir 2.4 pločio padangų?
@tom10crafted6 ай бұрын
