🤔 Which album? Is this from "Lonesome Crow" by chance? I'm not too familiar with early Scorps (pre-"Lovedrive" or that range).
@fleatactical73902 жыл бұрын
@@markchristopher420 Yep, it's the opening track. You should check out their earlier stuff. It's... different. It's definitely dated material that belongs to that era... borderline psychedelic. Lovedrive, on the other hand, is basically the start of the Scorpions as they would come to be known later on in terms of their sound and lyric content. And that album sounds less dated than the others before it. Part of that was due to them hiring Jabs and his sound. But there are definitely some cool songs on the first 4 releases, particularly on In Trance.

Super cool to hear early scorpions, THeir music evolved drastically from this cool psychedelic art rock group to 70's hard rock, to become one of the top stadium metal bands of the 80's. If it wasn't for those trademark Klaus high notes I wouldn't believe that is really Klaus on vocals. He is unrecognizable with the beard. Also strange to see Micheal a Les Paul instead of his trademark flying V.
@logansfury Жыл бұрын
The Les Paul cutaway guitar looked really out of place on Michael to me to. I wonder if his introduction to the Flying V was from his fellow guitarist here? Mark Ward Yes I was just going to comment on that; he sort of floats around the rhythm guitar instead of merely following it, just as Geezer Butler did. I like this early Scorpions stuff. It's imperfect, but somehow still quite enjoyable.

Mark Ward he was one hell of a bass player the Lonesome Crow album has some of the best bass playing I've ever heard and right at the top of my favourites list

Why did they get rid of this Bass player. He smokes Francis from the 80,s era! And who is the drummer? Thats not Herman Rarebell from the 80,s is it?

@@Rekeza : Yes it is a shame. But I'm pretty sure he left on his own. Rudy ain't the kind of guy to kick someone out unless they were to really do something completely unforgiving. Like Francis did. He was stealing money from the band behind their backs.

Wow! Just stumbled on to this having loved all pre '84 releases... And aged at 16~17 German rockers only singing in English. Much credit due on this alone.

Mister Majestic Tokyo Tapes was my introduction to the Scorpions in the USA, on Japanese import. A year or so before Love Drive their first album released in the states.
