I was in Germany in 74 while on military duty with my husband and I remember Scorps coming to the small village we lived in and having a jam session during those days that music was known as a bunch of noise to the Duetsch people while back here in the States we were listening to Led Zeppelin & Aerosmith I regret not going to that session it was just down the street from the Kasern. They still remain being the best of the best Rock Bands in history. Klaus Meine's voice is like no other he is #1

man, the Scorpions 70’s albums were just fucking incredible, and Uli, holy shit one of my favorite guitarists, unbelievably great solos, so much talent in this band. And then they went for the superstardom and a more commercial sound in the 80’s, and Matthias, another great guitarist, cant blame them I would have too. But, as great as their 80’s output was I prefer their 70’s catalog.

It's crazy how ULI Roth doe's so much Whammy Bar Wanging on that stock Strat bridge and it still stays in tune, but the whammy bar it's self is hugely thick and totally custom, I saw a recent Rig Rundown video and he talks about still having this white Strat, he even had extra frets added to this guitars neck before he started using the Sky Guitars. The guy was totally influenced by Hendrix but much more melodic rather then Blues based, with classical overtones as well, you can obviously hear it all in his playing. he's even is in a relationship with Jimi's old girlfriend Monica Damien who's painted a lot of his album cover art.
@nathueil1 Жыл бұрын
I had read that the bass player was or had been a metal worker and customized that dive bar for Uli. He made it longer to help ease the tension on the bridge that Uli was adding by those insane dives. He was snapping those bridges with the standard dive bars on those Fenders.
