The date of this film is Aug-Sept 1965. The three clues are the Forth Road Bridge (opened for business 4th September 1964) (07:33) and the two art galleries on the Mound (both having been cleaned by Aug-Sept. 1964.) (08:13). However the clinching clue is the half-built building on Princes Street (just to the right (east) of Frederick Street) which was at this stage of construction in autumn 1965, being completed by summer 1966 (08:10).

Can we go back to that era? A Scotland that isn't a bitter and divided, litter and graffiti strewn cesspit that it is today.

You always get a unionist making derogatory comments on films like this. Can’t help themselves.
