Beautiful drive along the waterfront. Seeing the lighthouse is pretty neat both from the shore and ferry views. Those ferries are pretty routine there but I still would have a hard time getting on one while in a vehicle. Awesome river area and waterfall. Glad you dodged the rain. It was looking fierce. Awesome trip & meetup. Have a great day.

Thanks Steve mate - sorry for late reply - yes that was such a beautiful place - we stayed at so many on the trip!! The ferries were all fine and the staff were really helpful and saved us a lot of driving time or got us to islands where we hadn't been before. We are really missing Scotland already!

Another fine installment of your Scottish road trip guys! Bunree looks beautiful, we are starting to recognise places we know now. We did a beautiful walk once from Inchree, there were some waterfalls up there too similar to the beautiful one you visited. The thunder storms can get pretty bad up those ways! Not a night to get trapped at a dodgy pub 😮 ⛈️. Glad you made it back safely👍. Ooh excited to watch the next one in Glen Coe, absolutely stunning part of the world! ATB Shell and Pete 😊👊👍
@NBNatureTrailvan7 ай бұрын
Thanks guys. Yes Inchree was beautiful and the views from the campsite were incredible but for some reason it just wasn’t our favourite. Maybe coming straight off the back of Ardnamurchan which was so remote and beautiful And yep Glencoe was better again!!

Awesome views, Dave & Sue! It seems like there's lots of ferries around the area. Loved the waterfall and the photos of the loon - such beautiful birds. Glad you two made it out of the storm without getting too soggy. Have a great day!

Thanks Donna - yes, Caledonian Macbrayne have 57 different ferries to get folks around the coast and the islands. And that's before you count the independant operators - there are a fair few of them too. We did love travelling on them - it just added to the anticipation and excitement of the journey.😃 The Loons are just so beautiful - I had never even seen one before this trip!! Heard the call once in the mist off the Isle of Mull - sent shivers down my spine - so atmospheric!! And thankfully, we got back to the van before the worst of the storm hit! Hope you guys have a great rest of the week 👍

Great to see more of Scotland! Sure was a tight fit on the ferry, but you're old pros by now! Loved seeing your camping spot by the lake and the wonderful sunset. Pretty loon and an amazing waterfall. Whew, that was quite a rain storm ... I bet the rain is just like here, keeping everything fresh and green! Cheers, Jen :)

Cheers Jen - my first Loon on a decent piece of film -(Great Northern Divers over here) so I was really excited to capture that. More stunning views and amazing places! 😍🥰 The waterfalls were spectacular - did they take long to walk to? The sun rays over the loch were gorgeous 😍 so glad you were ok in the storms! You will have experienced so much in Florrie before you have even had her a year! A real example of retirement done right!
@NBNatureTrailvan7 ай бұрын
Thanks Sah - no the waterfalls were only about 20 minutes up the hill near where Desmond was parked up. I wish I had got some better film. That was a nice campsite, but wasn't our favourite - so many more wild places we visited on the trip!

Very nice weather again! I love ferries. I've taken a ferry with a car only once across the Danube from Romania to Bulgaria. Another time without a car through the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. It was a very interesting experience. The rays through the clouds at 9:00 were fantastic. And in general, very beautiful places. The photo at 17:13 is just a dream of any traveler. Thank you Dave and Sue.

We loved the ferries Serge. Calmac operate 56 different ferries around the Islands and that’s before you count a lot of independent companies. It was a lot of fun! Thanks for your kind words on the photos mate. Those last Rays were so beautiful and the music fit perfectly. The funny thing was, that wasn’t one of our favourite sites. We had some before and after that one which we preferred as they were more remote and wild. But this one was still beautiful! Thanks for the music Serge 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Excellent video and very pleased to have found your channel. I first went to Ardnamurchan in the 1960s and have been going back regularly ever since. For me it is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled parts of Scotland.

Beautiful place Dave. Unlike Sue I absolutely love storms. When we have them I often put on my coat and go walking in them. Not sure it’s a lot of fun in a motor home though 😳. Really sad that they didn’t make you feel welcome in the pub - some odd people around 🙄
@NBNatureTrailvan7 ай бұрын
😀. You’re nuts Phil. 😃 I was fine in the Motorhome but Sue was shaking like a leaf. We’re off to the Alps in the late Summer - their storms are a lot worse 😳 so dread to think about them!! The pub was a restaurant really with a bar at the front. But it was pretty obvious that they would rather have diners not drinkers! Hope you’re having a good week mate.
@LivingtheSilverLife7 ай бұрын
What a beautiful video. The ferry rides are always fun. Loved your hike with the Desmond’s to the waterfalls, but I think Sue out ran you to get out of the storm. Too bad the pub wasn’t nice, you could have just roughed it out there.

Yes, it was great to meet up with Dave and Lindsay plus Desmond. The Falls were spectacular and the views fromthe campsite were wonderful. Ha yes, Couldn't keep up with Sue when the storm hit!! the pub was really a restaurant and we had already eaten so just wanted a quiet drink. But we were sat in the middle of the room so it was a bit of a strange atmosphere. Probably a great place to eat!... We have loved being on the ferries, so many of them in Scotland!!

Thanks mate - I was pleased with the Sun's rays on the Loch shot. 👍 The pub was ok - but it was more a restaurant really and we just felt like sitting with a drink in the middle of the room was a bit uncomfortable. There was a strange atmosphere in there so we decided to make a run for it before the storm hit. Lovely to see you guys, we are definitely coming up to the Moray coast next trip.

Fair braw up there but the weather can be very changeable, especially on the West coast. We got stuck in 60mph winds in a tent, had to park the cars on it to stop it blowing away. There were 7 tents before the storm and only us left in the morning as they all blew away. Very sorry you were treated with typical Scottish hospitality while sheltering the storm, my apologies 😢 Braw wee spot at Bunree, will need to get up again soon!
