it is by no means Scotland's least scenic rail journey. That "honour" probably goes to one of the routes in Glasgow, maybe the route to Maryhill via Possilpark, although I guess the extension via Kelvindale does straddle Dawsholm woods. and the River Kelvin. Also the Edinburgh via Falkirk route has its moments. You probably wont see them for long but Bishopbrigs and Lenzie are quite nice towns and you might catch a view of the Campsie hills. Unfortunately the Strathkelvin railway that takes you there was closed. Around and after Croy are remnants of the Roman Antonine Wall which is a scenic route, although you don't see it all from the train there are some nice spots there. Going into Flakirk you might be able to spot the Wheel, although the other line in Falkirk takes you closer. Polmont doesn't have the nicest views but coming into Linlithgow you go over a wonderful viaduct and can see the Avon Lagoon. Near the station you get a nice view of Linlithgow Palace. Coming into Edinburgh you see Murrayfield, parts of the West End and of course the Castle. While not the best journey, I would actually put this well above average as train journeys go.

I don’t know what’s the least scenic train journey to be honest, what I’m more trying to say by that is that Scotland is just really beautiful. There’s so much more to discover for me there, I’ll be back for sure.

@@Trainviking Haste ye back! Glad you love the country and look forward to more videos of Scotland. I suppose we are spoilt for scenic railway routes. The West Highland, the Far North, Kyle of Lochalsh, Highland main line via Cairngorms, Ayreshore coast, East Coast main line as you cross the border, crossing the Forth Rail bridge are just some highlights.

Aaahhh thanks for letting me know, I’ll correct it for next time I’ll go to Scotland and highlight hopefully a bit more of Glasgow. Oh boy I’d love to go to Scotland again, it’s such a beautiful place. Also the ferry to the Shetlands is on my list.
