You walked past my house! There is a cafe / Turkish patisserie called Gulays further along Queen street as well as quite a number of takeaways, a refill shop, a deli and a chemist. The Harbour Lights is a restaurant and coffee shop. There's a fisheries museum next to the anchor overlooking the harbour. The West beach is also nice and the lighthouse is worth a visit. About 6 miles west is Hopeman, which has another gorgeous beach and a cafe overlooking the beach called Bootleggers.

That South coast of the Moray Firth is a hidden gem ! When you get chance get yourselves out to Cullen, Portsoy and Crovie to name a few.....won't be great on the shopping front but wonderful scenery and motorhome friendly.

Chicos got a better wardrobe than me😆.you get used to the noise. i grew up in Lossie. my dad was in the RAF and I lived there 92-til 2009. Havent moved far as im still in the area. It used to be a lot busier with people then and a lot more shops were open, but then same can be said of Elgin. I often found Lossie a ghost town at the weekends. You missed the old harbour(the one you walked past is the new harbour), west beach and covesea all of which are hidden gems and the square you walked past after getting your coffee is lovely in the summer.

Really enjoyed your video of Lossiemouth. Every July we have a two week holiday on a caravan site at Hopeman and we always drive the 6 miles to Lossiemouth for a lovely meal in Harbour Lights. Thankyou

That takes me back guys. At 02:30 in the video, at that exact place, I went skinny dipping in the water after a stag night. It was the summer though! I was in the RAF at Lossie in the mid 70s. Meet my lovely wife there (a true Lossie Quine) and been together ever since. Fast approaching 50 years. Lossie is a great place. Have a fantastic trip

After mentioning about your hair bands , when I was in Tesco, I went into the clothing section and saw two of them. Thought that was odd.hehe. Martin snd Sharon’s daughter and family live in Lossiemouth.. they spent time in the summer showing us around, it does always look nice, the RAF have a big place there as well. Sup-rise sunrise You spotted a Chinese. Hehe. Not surprised we feel cold it has been really horrid weather really since oct. We haven’t had many really nice days. Maybe all banks will be mobile before long as the main branches are closing down everywhere. I guess Mark when you think about it, there are not many people use cheques these days. One of our grandchildren who is 20 I was talking to her about paying for something by cheque, she didn’t even know what one was. I think pay pal , is where most folk pay for things. If not cash. Thank you for sharing today.. I think your Costa price sounds about right , being regular costa users , I think that’s what my hubby pays for an Americana , I have a latte as a rule. Guess if many places aren’t open ,those that are can charge what they like, or people can’t have things. Shame you didn’t get your treat Mark when the prices were good as well. Maybe the big places were cargo planes. I thought about you on Sunday. Ishtar, there was terrible wind want there, and another storm on the way, I love the doggie outfits .xx take care both.

Martin has holidayed in Lossiemouth since he was 4. We go every year. RAF Lossiemouth is an active air base, You sometimes see the planes go almost vertically upright and if you see them do that it means a foreign plane has entered our air space and they get sent to check it out. We sit beside the airbase and watch the planes taking off and landing. There's a good aire in cullen, its just opened ❤

Love Chico’s wardrobe! My Tiny Papillon ❤xxs has a Lidl bought Zoofari halter with a Cat Harness to lead fluorescent yellow. ( Never told him it is meant for a cat) well two days ago we went to the beach and over his harnesses I put his second hand from charity coat on. While I got my elderly Papillon out of the car with her coat over her harness already put on …he squirmed, head stand, wriggled himself out of his coat before I could get my third Papillon out of the car 🤣🤣🤣 He was going to get himself in such a pickle I removed his coat and he walked his walk in the sun with the beach huts acting as a wind break from the cold wind, as happy and proud as could be! He is extra special at the moment as he has renal disease at only 9yrs and was not expected to make Christmas but he is still here taking it day by day 💖

Hi Lisa and Mark. The view and the dramatic sky was great to see. Prices were extorionate for a takeaway, makes you wonder how they still exist. The other chinese was more like it lol. Spent many a happy hour on that beach and walked over the old bridge many many times in the 1970's. There used to be a small area just past the bridge to park motor homes and caravans. Cant remember the cost to park... There also used to be a bakers van call at the site. :)

Fabulous vlog . Great to see all those facilities in Lossiemouth geared for tourism . I suspect business improved when MOD moved some of the defence services from RAF Kinross up the road to RAF Lossiemouth. Went up to Kinloss several times when the Nimrod's were based there. The RAF station is one our our key NATO air defence bases the Eurofighter Typhoon flying from their. . Funny you mentioned Lytham St Annes as the engines for some of the aircraft operational at Lossiemouth are built and tested at BAE in Lytham and often you can hear the engines being tested on the beach there.
