Have family in Inverness. My uncle Alfred was curator at the museum there for years and years. We used to stop at Aunty Mary’s house in Inverness on our way upto the Isle of Lewis. Have a drive to Ullapool, is where the ferry goes from to Stornaway….Beautiful.

Another fabulous vlog. We were up in Inverness for the day last year and went into the market, it is really lovely. The Merecat cross ( Market Cross) is in Falcon Square. The Unicorn is Scotland's national animal and the Falcons are a tribute to John Falconer he built the Falcon Iron Foundry in 1858. Iron -founding industry was part of the industrial scene in Inverness in the nineteenth century. Enjoy the rest of your travels, I am sure you will find some more charity shops in the small towns Lisa 👍.We have 4 in the town near to our village xx

It's the best isn't it?!! Called Leaky's Books methinx.....and right across the road is an excellent pet shop with the best staff who cleared up worms in my beloved Labrador with one tablet! Such a treat to hear Inverness is top of your list of cities in the UK (knowing how many places you folks have been!!) For folks up here in Orkney, Inverness offers all the stuff we can't get and also a lovely reprieve from the northerly winds. I often joke that it feels almost tropical coming down towards the Black Isle and Inverness ,lol. 😂.

Great vlog. Shame your not able to follow the A9 to the end, some cracking villages it passes and ends in Thurso where you can get the Ferry to Orkney. That island is definitely worth a visit sometime.

❤Inverness you will get your Primark Lisa There’s a nice place to eat across from that bridge.I like those kiltie cups.We booked a bungalow for 7 nights and did the NC500 we left early every morning took a flask of soup n sandwiches every day we loved it. Having done the nc500 7 times there are definitely shops on the route of the 500, even some charity shops. And if you don’t like that bridge maybe give Corrieshalloc gorge a miss, it literally swings over the waterfalls and gorge lol
