I haven't played the new one, but I totally agree with you guys from what I can tell. This was one of the first more "advanced" board games I played as a kid so the nostalgia is strong with me too. However, I always thought abilities of the investigators would be really cool to have so I think that's a cool addition. Thanks for the comparison!

Thank you for the comparison. I wanted to go with the original game at first because of the better looking board but gameplay is better in the Sherlock version so I decided on the latter.
