Further south, head to the newly-opened and world-renowned V&A Dundee. This museum hosts incredible exhibitions of art and design from throughout the years and is Scotland’s first design museum and the only V&A museum in the world outside London.
Edinburgh & The Lothians has bundles to offer too. Connecting Edinburgh and Fife, the Forth Road Bridge in South Queensferry is one of the most iconic man-made structures in Scotland that dates back to the 19th century. Take a stroll across the bridge and marvel at the views out to sea. Edinburgh is bursting at the seams with attractions, famous locations, historic museums and more. Edinburgh Castle, Scott Monument, National Museum of Scotland, Royal Mile, Calton Hill and Princes Street Gardens are just a few of the places to visit. Just outside of the city, Rosslyn Chapel is nestled in the heart of Midlothian and boasts unique and mysterious carvings, tales of age-old myths and legends, and stunning grounds to explore.
Due south from Edinburgh, Dumfries & Galloway is home to the peculiar triangle-shaped Caerlaverock Castle. This medieval fortress features a moat, twin-towered gatehouse and imposing battlements, giving it a real ancient feel and atmosphere.
The Borders Railway encapsulates the enchanting regions of Edinburgh, Midlothian and the Scottish Borders alongside the rich history, landscapes, outdoor activities and more that these areas boast. Starting in Edinburgh Waverley, the train stops at various locations including Brunstane, Shawfair, Eskbank and Gorebridge before terminating in Tweedbank.
Glasgow, Scotland’s biggest city, offers the liveliness of city life, alongside striking architecture, fascinating museums, bustling streets and more. Explore the Riverside Museum, Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, People’s Palace and more to get a real feel of what the city is all about. North west of Glasgow in Argyll, the romantic Inveraray Castle on the shores of Loch Fyne is one of Scotland’s finest stately homes that has complimented the surrounding landscape since the early 15th century.
Explore the traditional and cultural side of Scotland on our incredible islands. In the Outer Hebrides the Hebridean Way from Vatersay in the south to the Isle of Lewis in the north is not to be missed. Do we have it, nope, not imo You still get arrested for Victimless crimes like drug consumption (which the laws do need changed, Scotland has more drug deaths per capita than the US and it's already been proven in multiple different countries, if you legalise drugs, give the right education, it saves life's) (I've stopped for 1-2 years but being involved with that life, current laws are making things worse) you can't exactly go and own anything for self defense... The law is too gray area on self defense, you can't own an air gun anymore because it's now a "privilege" despite it realistically just being a BB gun that shoots metal... The law doesn't prevent much either, junkies still have their air rifles. (Again, seen plenty of air rifles in houses after the license, it was never going to work for a fact) If you're young, you can't stand in groups because you're seen as a gang or threat, so you've hardly any freedom as a teen, since you get profiled by the police (Just because you're young and in a group, it doesn't mean you're up to no good... I remember they'd be 15-20 of us in a park... It's called having a big circle and no one fought or done anything to cause victims...) We're Still owned by England, if we leave the UK, we join the EU... That's hardly freedom, we're essentially joining the same thing, we left from expect... Bigger. I could go on and on but before this country has "freedom" it needs libertarian rule imo... Libertarian is the best amount of freedom people can enjoy You can do what you want, defend yourself, have a drink, go on a wee clay pigeon shoot, not worrying about pointless laws, that Genuinely do not work. Scotland has no freedom and never will, people only shout it, so they can delude themselves, that this tiny shithole actually means something. When trainspotting summed it up perfectly "it's shite being Scottish, we're the lowest of the low" My idea of freedom ?, Free market, all drugs legalised, NHS stays fine (just use the drug money to fund that and when the Degenerates come from drug induced ailments, charge them) gun laws are more laxxed, self defense laws are more laxxed, peadophiles, rapists, unjustified murders and other crimes who have been proven guilty... Death penalty... My tax money isn't going to feed them Ps. Not to mention the Scottish working class still get shat on, English or Scottish government... We're all seen as neds or benefit sponges... Still plenty of elitism and freedom stamping imo

Fraser Mcclelland I was in Moffat just the other day for the first time in many a year with my dear old folks. We came via the Devils Beef Tub and returned via St. Mary's Loch and the Grey Mare's Tail. It was a wonderful day. We had a nice lunch in the narrowest hotel in the world and then bought oor sweeties. I huvnae hud a Moffat toffee fir sae Lang. They wis braw though. I was absolutely blown away by that when someone told me, I've been to Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and a few places more inland in Australia but it cost an absolute bomb to get there but I can't remember much about this fact but apparently they were giving people in our country the opportunity to just move to Australia for £10, have you heard of this before? Lixna what a load of absolute rubbish. Scotland is a country, it has it's own culture, language and history. It will be completely independent by the end of nxt year for sure. People will want to move here in their droves and with the Scottish being friendly, open and humble, they will welcome them with open arms (even those from across the border!)

I came across this canal by accident, to my great happiness. Last year I was in Scotland and fell in love with the country. After 2 weeks of vacation I didn't want to go home anymore but just drive on through these wide landscapes. Scotland is breathtaking, magical, mysterious and in some way inexplicable. I absolutely admire Scotland! I loved this video, especially accompanied with music, and thus decided to show it to some of my my ESL students. And the only reaction I got was "Oh hey there's an alcohol there why are you showing it to us ?" :( Trying to motivate kids is a risky thing.
