Great one as always Murray, get those knees looked after, I had both replaced about 20 years ago and they are still working just fine. I am an 86 year "old fart" and used to spend my weekends on the hill. Watching your videos'keeps me young, THANK YOU. Peter McCulloch

Literally a "Steaming Boots" production at the end there Murray ! Perfect weather, lovely day out. The "Met Office Surface Pressure Charts" page is useful for weather forecasting, it has a 5 day prediction of the developing fronts etc you can follow on the chart and is updated regularly. Quality Murray, rest the knee, it will come good. First saw Am Batach in early 1980s great wee hill made better by a few pine woods in those days, made it look stunning when sunlit. Returned a few years ago, so sad some of the larger pine woods have been felled & the farm buildings going derelict. Came over the top of Am Batach from Ciste Dubh a great hill.

Enjoyed this video very much as it is one of the closest mountains to my home. I loved the way you described Am Bathach as 'steep' because you're right, it's 'b___y' steep, as I remember well, particularly when you are a 75 year old like me !!! However, once on the top it's a great ridge route to Ciste Dhudh. Great photography and a nice keepsake for my KZbin library now my hillwalking days are pretty much over. Keep them coming !! I really enjoy your videos. This one was a bit special as I have a great great grandmother Hannah MacRae almost certainly from Glen Shiel and her husband my great great grandfather John McRae who was likely from Gleann Lichd. So you started from the former glen and overlooked the latter gleann at the summit of Ciste Dhubh. And when I visited the area I poked around various spots in the area including the other ends of both glens and for some of my exploring I was parked just where you had your van. And the following year returned to the area with my grandson hoping for more climbing. Quite aside from that I appreciate the great technique you demonstrate in making all your videos. I do hope you take care to let your knee heal well. Keep up the great work as we admire it from Canada. We were in Scotland a number of years running before Covid. I know Mull isn't a convenient commute from Perth but I'd love some Mull.
