Depot visits to Eastfield depot in Glasgow as well as Motherwell depot, this includes a visit and cab ride in a class 37 whilst shunting on shed. Another visit included a visit to Grangemouth Shed and Brechin Heritage railway in their early years

some thirty years ago on more than one occasion on our way to Scotland at 6am we called in to Motherwell and looked round the depot. Always made welcome by the staff and its nice to see this video as a reminder. thank you

Thanks for uploading this great footage. It brings back good memories of when I was younger. I used to cycle up to Motherwell and Eastfield depots. I walked into Motherwell a few times and the guys were always happy to show you about. I was also in Eastfield a few times. Sad days now and with the way health and safety is they don't want you anywhere near.

The red cladded building at Motherwell was the Texas DIY home store from memory....remember walking the lines of locos there in the day.
