Glad to see your follow up video. We’ve had our 110v 3/4 hp with the oscillator for about 3 weeks now. We have a lot of muck on our bottom and it’s done a good job in moving a bunch of it out further. Ours wiggles just like yours. I don’t think it’s the oscillator head as both of the vertical poles are wiggling. I think it’s the weight of the unit and how the mounting arm is further away. I have an aluminum pier and mounted the standard mount to a 2x8 and then clamp the 2x8 to the pier with c clamps. Works well and I can move it around to different parts of the pier. Nice job and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for watching! I'm glad yours is working well for you, I've found at our place we had to run it pretty much constantly otherwise the muck will settle back in.

Nice video. Just installed mine today and found myself having to mount further down my dock than I planned because of the length and shallow water.

I think this summer I'm going to try to modify mine to be able to run it a little shallower, only thing I'm worried about is sucking air and cavitating if I get it too close to the surface, even down deep occasionally it will pull a little air tornado down and kick out some bubbles. Thanks for watching!

i have had the aerator for a few years and had to make a mount out of wood, kinda an oversized sawhorse that i move around but i’ll be getting that dock mount now cuz they never had that. is it easy to move from post to post?
@ballhammerindustries Жыл бұрын
I have abandoned the "post mount" and have gone back to the "dock plate" the post mount was very difficult to move from post to post, the weight of the unit was too far out to easily put on the post, and the U-bolts used to secure the mount to the post were hard to tighten and easy to get it crooked, and it just seemed very weak. I'm much happier with the dock plate style mounting, its easier to move if you have multiple dock plates and its a much more secure mount. I just ordered two dock post mounts from DH docks hoping they will work, the dock plates directly Scott Aerator are expensive

May you give a link to what you bought from DH Docks?

Great video! thanks. Would you have the link to the aerator? and to the Drive in Jetski docks?
Appreciate all the details in the video(s). Are you using 115v or 230v and how far are you from your breaker? I ordered a 1HP 115v unit yesterday and I'm a bit concerned with the distance to my power. Thanks!

I'm using 115v, the cord on the unit is 50', I have a 10ga 100' extension cord and another 10ga 50' for a total of 200' of cord from my power source, I've never had an issue with tripping a breaker. The only issue I've had was water intrusion into where my two extension cords connect, the joint was exposed to the elements which was not a great idea, this year I have the joint sealed with dielectric grease and duct tape to keep the water out

How has this held up? Any issues with running an extension cord instead of opting for the longer built-in cable?
@ballhammerindustries8 ай бұрын
It seems to be holding up pretty good, the only issue with the extension cord is I'm noticing at the connection between two extension cords the plug looks like its been arcing, I'm guessing this is from water intrusion from sitting out in the rain. This year all connections will use dielectric grease and some form of cover to keep water out. Other than that no issues

Isn’t the GFI to prevent the Circuit breaker from popping?
@ballhammerindustries Жыл бұрын
Yes, but from interruption from a ground fault, not necessarily from overload like a typical break, but I am definitely not an electrician.

Yeah star screws are the best… Thanks for mentioning that. I don’t do star screw’s I’m not strong enough…

I use them as much as I can, don't even get me started on how much I hate flat head screws!

Do you need a permit in mn
@ballhammerindustries3 ай бұрын
They say no permit needed if it's pointing up towards the surface and isn't excavating the bottom of the lake
