I have chosen audiobooks simply on the strength that Scott Brick was the narrator. I love his work!

I feel the same way. When I find an audiobook that he narrates, I feel like he's an old friend.

Amen! Scott Brick is one of the all time best voices!! Nobody reads Frank Herbert like the SB!!

I'm a huge fan of Scott Brick. I base some of my audiobook selections on his voice alone.

He is the reason why I've listened to The Passage three times.

12:03 never realized until now how much I would love to see Scott Brick voicing a major video game Character! He would be a commanding presence in any game!

Hi folks. I share the feeling of many that Scott is a premier narrator. I'm currently listening to the Bourne series and its brilliant. I'm a narrator myself and listening to Scott read a book is, not only entertaining but gives you a great idea how to perform.

I love Scoot Brick, ,while reading for clive cussler, he brings the books to life.

Each good reader typifies the voice/essence of one of the characters in the books they read and having just finished his atlas shrugged reading I can say that Scott IS Hank Rearden, that will forever be his voice to me.

I would love to meet Scott. When I got back into audiobooks, it was after his performance of a book that made me look for my next book under the "read by" listing instead of by author or subject. There are plenty of great readers, but I think SB is definitely one of the best.

His versions of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, I, Robot and the Bourne trilogy were absolutely definitive. Brick does "gritty but clever protagonist who does a lot of deep thinking" better than anybody.

Does anyone know what is Scott’s favorite microphone for narration?

I listen to many audiobooks, and my wife, even more. The only narrator we do not care for is Scott Brick. For me, he "overmodulates", that is, his tone is not realistic, but rather, as other critics are saying in these comments, hammy, or corny. Too much pitch variation. If I start a book, and it is Brick, I quit it. There are SO many great narrators out there. Three of my favorites are Mark Hammer, Gene Enganie, and George Guidall.

RICK ORCUTT Just shows that tastes are individual, I suppose. Every narrator adds their own style, and I really enjoy his.
@Rob7743 жыл бұрын
That's interesting because this "overmodulation" is why I seek him out.

A genuinely epically clueless tool. You want your book destroyed by being read in a falsely emotional tone thoughout ? S. Brick's your man. Every book - no matter how varied the subject matter- is read exactly the same. Just remember : Brick--as in 'thick as a'.
