Scott Devine, Josh Smith & Gary Novak - Burn to Grow

Over the last few months I’ve been busy working on some new content for a special program I’m creating… I’ll tell you more about it in a few months time (yep, it’s a BIG project), but until then I wanna share an exclusive performance from the program…
In a nutshell, I’m playing with one of the best guitar players on the planet, and a drummer who was at the very top of my ‘bucket list’ of drummers to work with.
For the gear nerds out there… I’m using my good old “P bass of doom” but with a Moollon neck (ebony fingerboard), and then straight into a 70’s B15.

How crazy good are Josh and Gary, lol??! If you enjoy the vid and want more - leave a comment and spread some good bass vibes! ;) Ooo... for anyone wondering, the bass is going direct into an Ampeg B15... and the bass, it’s a regular 59 reissue Fender P bass but I swapped out the neck for a slightly thinner Moollon P bass neck because the 59P neck was suuuuper wide... might put the old neck back on... just experimenting. @@Seboss38 the bass drives this whole thing and in a trio it's right where it should be in the mix maybe in a larger band it might be too upfront but if you listen to other 3 piece power trio's the bass sits in the mix the same way, Geddy Lee, Jack Bruce, any of them it's right there.
