for all the guys who haven't had the chance to jam w/ other ppl yet: this is what good coordination and communication skills look like. when it just clicks(same mood, probably woke up at the same time, had breakfast around the same time, haven't done much different stuff than your buddies) it feels so awesome and fun. you really feel connected to the others at that moment, not even visual contact is needed, you just jam. 4:39 is a pretty good example of this feeling. when u just get 2 absorbed in your own fun and thoughts while playing and you turn up& look 2@ your buddies to make sure that you're still spot on and jammin',only to realize that they 2 got absorbed in their own thoughts and fun and that each individual's thoughts and fun are one and the same. really feels good man.

Scott you're such an inspiration for me as a bass player! I've been watching a lot of your tutorials lately because I just admire the way you can just completely dictate the groove so effortlessly and more importantly in a the most tasteful manner. I've been a musician for as long as i can remember and i picked up the bass 3 years ago and I'm currently playing with an indie funk band. I have found myself to be quite stumped when it comes to my level of knowledge behind everything i'm playing, I feel like I lack a big part of the must know theory behind everything and focus more on the feel (I'm also a self taught musician and have never recieved a bass lesson let alone a theory class). Anyways just wanted to let you know that you're groove epitomizes what I want to accomplish as a bass player, and thank you for putting up such great content! Can't tell you what i would do to have a 1 on 1 lesson with you! But for now ill save up to be able to purchase your one year subscription :)

Glad I found your videos man!! Almost gave up on bass. I'm a guitar player. I learned to play guitar based on learning songs and not focusing on theory. That didn't work for me learning bass. I always wrote songs from a guitarists perspective. Now I'm writing them from a drummer and bassists perspective and im getting a much different sound out of me and loving it!! I start with drums (superior drummer 2) Then lay a bass track and then do guitar last...

I didn't use the P of doom as I wanted to use round wounds for the for recording I was doing and this one already had them on - I also love the way this bass sound too.
