When Scott Hall walked through that crowd and did his first promo, that was like Genesis chapter 1 verse 1. That first promo created a tidal wave of events that would eventually birth superstars such as Steve Austin, the Rock, Cena, DX etc. Wrestling as we know it today and the characters that became megastars after Scott's promo would not exist had that promo never took place.

When Flair came in as the "Real Worlds Champion" with the pixeled belt could've been HUGE, if he'd come in with with the Horsemen and shortly after left Hogan laying. Vince would NEVER have done that though.

Vince would NEVER have allowed someone to come in from another company and go over his top stars as he was too petty, Hogan always beat Flair on the house show circuit then Savage was beating Flair too and Flair finished up losing to Bret then Mr Perfect.

@@mikeg2491 They took LESS guaranteed money when they left WCW for WWF Thats the antithesis of selling out Make it make sense lol

@@CannedHam2479 WWF didn’t offer guaranteed money. That’s the only reason they left WWF was for the guaranteed money Bischoff offered, they said it themselves in other interviews with a guaranteed contract they could actually plan their future for things like buying a house when you know exactly what you’re going to make this year. With Vince it was all up in the air as you got paid by match & PPV cards. It doesn’t help when applying for a loan for instance when you don’t know what your income for the year will be.

@@CannedHam2479 I wasn’t aware that they made less jumping over, my initial instinct was WWF was the big leagues and offered more opportunities at the time but things changed after the steroid trial and Turner getting more aggressive with pay that suddenly they could command WWF talent to jump over which seemed impossible years earlier. That said I guess my point is the phrase selling out gets used more like a betrayal nowadays than literally “you sold out for more money”. Sort of like “how dare you leave WWF!” and money is irrelevant, as if guys are indentured servants to Vince or something lol. That is what I thought you were driving at.
