Amazing what can come from doing something historic like winning his first ever NASCAR Cup race. Guessing he liked driving the cars too. What an amazing talent.

Probably cos he’s being interviewed by a fellow driver (and former close rival!) You see a lot of times where you can tell the drivers don’t like speaking to general reporters, yet when the interviewer is a fellow Or former driver with great experience, makes a huge difference to the quality of the exchange

Fantastic interview of two very competitive peiople, it was great to see Shane relaxed and Scotty had great questions. It came across and two mates having a chat, you can tell they have respect for each other, I could listen for way longer. Scotty needs to do some more of this with other drivers, his time on the TV broadcasting was also fantastic, he has so much knowledge and can communitcate very clearly. Hopefully Scotty is utilised as much as he can ber in Australia taking his IndyCar career into consideration.

Love it the respect between them is awesome two of the very best and to think they could do Bathurst together. Really hope gen 3 is enough to keep Shane in the sport but I have my doubts. Also why do people feel the need to say they are a Ford fan to congratulate a holden driver and a holden fan to congratulate a Ford driver ? What does it matter. Just be humble to recognise talent and leave it at that.

As a die hard Ford Vs Holden fan growing up in Australia multi generational it pains me to say but I am genuinely excited about next year. Not because of the cars, I’ve learnt to accept the Australian car manufacturing demise but the whole package of supercars, the tracks, the coverage, the commentators (big !!!), the passion, the willingness to stay true to it roots, it’s lack of wokeness and yes of course, the cars look wicked. My favourite sport on 2023. I can’t wait for Round 1.

I think Trackhouse's Project 91 is more realistic. Hell, it's practically tailor-made for SVG: Same manufacturer, no fixed sponsor, and it was created specifically to get international/non-NASCAR stars on the grid.

There ya go all you NASCAR fans getting wet thinking SVG will come over full- time after winning in Chicago. He's not interested in raving ovals! Mind you, the dollars that will be waved in his face now might change his mind, but deep down I reckon the Gizz would get bored going round and round, like most of us Supercars fans. Sure, it takes talent like Scotty, Marcus & Will to do well over there, but no American driver has ever done well over here. The last attempt was Alexander Rossi at Bathurst in 2019 in a great car and team. Scotty won it, SVG came 2nd and Rossi finished 18th. The race craft needed to adapt is too great.
