A very cute reaction by Mixi. I think she was biting her tongue from mentioning they were an all female band. Because Of Course, women can make a band and play that well.

Mixi looked somewhere between in love and in awe - and we've all been there with the wonderful female bands of Japan. Lovebites, then Band-Maid and then Nemophila - that's the way to introduce the Japanese female Metal and Rock scene for sure! We can all see that Mixi will be diving down a few Pigeon, Wolf, Petal and Fox holes and spreading the word as you do.

Man,thank you for spreading the word about Lovebites. I saw this band live at Wacken /I believe it was their 2018 show when Midori had black hair/ and I have been mesmerized since then. I have been a metalhead for 30 years,mostly death metal fan but this band captures the spirit of heavy metal which is close to my soul more than anything else...

It's really amazing how many rock- and metal musicians never heard of all these phenomenal Japanese female bands! You owe a great "Thank You!!" for spreading the knowledge of Japan's amazing rock and metal music - especially when performed by these cute, gorgeous , "kawaii" and super talented virtuosos Japanese ladies - into the "classic" (is this an appropriate word ...?) American rock and metal scene! 😀👍🤟👏👏👏

Thank you for always introducing Japanese music. From Japan🇯🇵 Although recently we have gained recognition through media outlets such as KZbin, Japan has always been a country built solely on domestic demand, and we are not very good at selling our music overseas, so thank you very much.

I like when people in the West who have done /do work in the Music industry discover Lovebites. 9.9 out of 10 times the reaction is "Holy Smoke's"," These Females are Fire" and "Wow". Another Awesome First Time Reaction from a real touring artist.

It was another great view of making a big woooow! Now in KZbin world, many listeners are talking about a new metal category for them. Happy metal, Joy metal, classy metal, etc, …cause many people think their music is well beyond the current metal music scope and it would not be so fair that they are judged in terms of the current terminology. Lol, we are just enjoying it. Thank you Joel for your introduction of our goddesses!

Mixi: "Where do you find these band? Not on U.S. radio or TV. The megacorporations that control U.S. popular music aren't interested in foreign bands. Lovebites, Nemophila, Band-maid...Nightwish, Epica, Eivor, the Volfgang twins, Dimmu Borgir, Heilung, Nanowar of Steel, Diana Ankudinova...I could go on and on. Thank the music gods for KZbin, or I never would've heard of them, either. For the past 30-odd years there has been no better band on the planet than Nightwish. Think they'll ever end up in the so-called "Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame"? I don't think they care, nor do any of those other groups I mentioned.

Yes that rock is called North America. LOL. No need to build a wall cos one's already been built and stops so many great artists making it big in the USA. It's only various reactors like Joel Miller who are at last introducing people to some of the amazing bands out of Japan, Finland and The Netherlands to name a few.

Nnooooooooo why people keep reacting to the OLD version, I don’t get it!!! Nothing against Miho, I love her, BUT come on, that was years ago, and the newer version shows where they are NOW!!! And even more if NEW people are getting to know LOVEBITES, I really don’t get it.
@guitarzen599911 ай бұрын
This version is better. I don't care how old it is.
@almitritzigane11 ай бұрын
@@guitarzen5999 Better or Worse, That’s not the point. My point is that new people should be introduced with where they are at NOW, if they like them they can go and see their past. (In this case is LOVEBITES, but with any other band I feel the same, what matter is the now,and of course the nostalgia of the past is wonderful but the past is THE PAST. Your preference for this version is perfect im not arguing that, I’m glad we Love LOVEBITES I love them both versions, but I do prefer the new one, the energy between the girls, that hug that Miyako gives Midori at the end of their solo, Asami holding that last note almost double the time than in this version, even the stage, and visuals for me are greater in the newer release. That bass line cutting through the solo, that one sounds better In the Zepp version! No doubt
@guitarzen599911 ай бұрын
@almitritzigane It's the mix that kills it for me, unfortunately. Because the bass, drums and even the backing track are brought forward in the mix, it's hard to hear the definition in the guitars and that does not work for me. Also, something to consider is that this version is the official version found on the band's page and many reactors are more comfortable using an official version of a song than the alternative.
@almitritzigane11 ай бұрын
@@guitarzen5999 agree with the mix issue, is not that good, when I heard “swan song” ohh I could barely hear the piano, until, of course the piano is the only instrument being played. 🐺🤘

She thought it was brutal, yet Holy War is far from their most brutal song. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good song, but I feel like, at this point, when they have released so many awesome videos and songs, Holy War just isn't that interesting anymore. It's pretty straight forward, a straight road from point A to point B, with some entertaining corners and turns in the middle. Good reaction though, and it's awesome that you're showing your guests some great bands that they probably wouldn't have discovered otherwise 🤘🔥
@1970Phoenix11 ай бұрын
Although "Holy War" isn't in my top 5 LOVEBITES songs, I still think it is one of the best songs to use to introduce a newbie to LOVEBITES.

Tokyo DiverCity is spoken as two words, not three: "Tokyo diversity", NOT "Tokyo Diver City." You know, the word that freaks out the tin-foil hat QAnon crowd, lol. The Japanese are proud of their positivity/diversity (and really good with English language word-play).
@1970Phoenix11 ай бұрын
The irony here perhaps is that Japan is one of the least ethnically diverse countries on the planet.
@OtobokeGaijin621811 ай бұрын
The "Diver" of "DiverCity" in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, a real estate development than includes the Zepp hall, refers to the name of the area in the Tokyo waterfront where it's located, "Odaiba", and particularly the older name of much of that area, "Daiba" (which is also the name of part of the current area). "Diver" is punning on "Daiba", with the "er" pronounced non-rhotically as a broad "a".
