Also Mary’s portrayal of Ramona was rightly perceived. I’ve seen a lot of people say she’s cold and detached towards Scott in the movie but parts like when she told him his hair is cute and likes it long makes her actually a nice and sweet person. I think Edgar Wright limited that side of her compared to the graphic novel to maintain her mysteriousness and give that cool girl vibe. I feel like it’s harder to do in acting and portray that than it is on paper. Edgar Wright does a phenomenal job

it's kinda scott's story, so it makes sense that ramona is more mysterious to us as viewers - but i totally think the glow (in the comics) and her general noncommittal thing/the hold gideon has over her are basically telling us she is reserved and generally lacks self-esteem. she's human, but scott worships her because he's a child lol
