Hands down Scott Pilgrim is the best adaptation of a graphic novel/ video game. Everything about it equals the intensity of the books and while lots of the stuff is removed it still holds up to have good comedy, amazing action, and a kick ass plot line. The only thing I disliked when it was released and still am not huge on was the casting of Scott. I don't think Michael Cera was the right choice to play a character billed as 'the best fighter in the province.' He doesn't look, move or act like a fighter, and he doesn't have enough of comic-Scott's...what, unthinking rogueishness? There's some essential quality I just don't see in Cera that the part needed. I think the movie likes to show that Scott does most of the work. You can clearly see that Scott’s eyes go green, and he is is the one to hit the thing that spawns the yeti ( I don’t know what the thing he steps on is called). The fight also happened during a guitar solo. But yeah the entire band does help.
