Flamboyant Zimbabwean socialite Matthew Musengezi appeared in court over a 2020 Toyota Fortuner which he sold through La Prada car sales together with another 2020 Ford Ranger.
Fally Ipupa real name Tinashe Mureyane is the owner of La Prada Motors and is also the father of Nelia Kadungure's child. Nelia Kadungure the sister of the late Ginimbi.
Prince Takunda Murove, an employee of Scott Sakupwanya's company, Better Brands, is the complainant. The Toyota was reporteddly bought by Musengezi at a ZIMRA customs rummage sale.
ZIMRA is the complainant in the case which involves the importation of cars.
History of the Ford Ranger
1 September 2023 - Musengezi imports the Ford ranger into Zimbabwe
7 September - Musengezi raises invoices purporting to have imported Ford Ranger parts from a non existent Guruve company and certifies the car as an rebuilt car at the Eastlea VID.
7 September - Musengezi approached the Harare Port where the vehicle was granted an import clearance certificate.
December 5 - ZACC received a report that from Prince Takunda Murove that the Toyota Fortuner AGE 5418 was imported illegally by Musengezi.
However, it turned out that the car was not imported illegally but was bought at a ZIMRA customs auction.

He left Zambia before the supposed court appearance. His new statement is he was never charged. Both statements can’t be true at the same time.
