Scott Adkins is an absolute legend for just doing this brilliant interviews❤ Unlike the big tv and youtube channels that does highly advertised but low quality interviews, Scott Adkins asks proper questions that provide an insight inside the artist's life and work,in addition to giving us a glimpse of another side these artists. Amazing work and hope he keeps doing it.

Yeah it’s the difference of a professional interviewer/reporter asking dull, unoriginal….cringey questions. Against a humble professional fighter/stunt guy who is also a huge fan…asking questions you want to know or wouldn’t think to ask. How it should be!

Chad has valid points for up and coming Directors. A STORY/LINE IS A MOVEMENT, A Story moves. Writing a Script is easy, reading lines is easy. Putting that Action Story so to speak in 'action' and 'make-believable' to the audience is the key for the Actors, Directors, SOUNDTEAM and the Editors combined to make the story. A action scene edits are first approved by the ACTOR then the Editor. The Director is like all the above, they want the actor is a certain position/s, they control the CAMTEAM and verify the edits, themes....etc.

Dear Chad Stahelski Being a fan of the fruits of your labor as well as your career, I wanted to thank you for creating the John Wick Saga. Each new chapter is better than the previous one. I can no longer wait for the release of John Wick 4 to go see it in French cinemas. I loved the Matrix tetralogy too much, thanks for putting Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Daniel Bernhardt in the John Wick universe. It's kind of funny to see you doing this saga, knowing that you had been Keanu Reeves' stunt double. I think it's a good recognition of your talent, that the fans appreciate you. I hope to find Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving in the next episode. Regarding the action of John Wick 5, I would be grateful if you could bring in Michael Jai White and Lateef Crowder Dos Santos. They could play the Bad Guys in this one. I wish you and the entire 87 Eleven Productions team happiness and success in your future projects. Once again thank you. From 🇫🇷 by a 🇵🇹 fan, Kinds Regards. Sat through this twice... it's practically a masterclass in itself (in an 'actors guild' stylee). 2 years on Chad remembered to reach out as per the final promise in his last moments in interview; hope to see your performance soon Scott (Your character in the trailer seems DeNiro-esque ala latter stage Raging Bull... deliberate nod maybe?) Scott is so humble considering he basically surpassed most of the guys he interviews in martial arts. First and foremost he was a fighter, then started acting in a TV drama and humbly moved up the acting ranks through his pure acting talent to finally get into the field of martial arts acting. He may be no Keanu but even Keanu would agree he is the best in the business. Easily has surpassed van damm by now in my opinion

Just another great interview! I appreciated Chad’s honesty about filmmaking, especially how he called out directors for looking down on directing action. Had to pause and reflect when he said that if he could learn about directing, they in turn could learn about action choreography, which quite honestly is the basis for these multimillion dollar movies. I appreciated how Chad has to work around the weaknesses of an actor and how preparation, whether it’s camera angles or actor training, saves money in the end. Man, such an amazing director!

The fact keanu reeves gave him chance to direct the movie is crazy despite everyone going against his decision

I can't even begin to imagine what you two could accomplish together in an action film. It would be criminal to not collaborate on something. Even if it's a smaller role in something like John Wick 4 or 5.

the best way to learn is by making mistakes. Most humans don't really learn things until they make the mistake, even when others give you advice, it doesn't become a skill until you make the mistake enough times to really "get it". Thanks to scott and chad for this great video dispelling a boatload of myths about how you get great action.

This was such a GOOOOOOD conversation. I didn't know Chad's so cool. Maybe Scotts interviewing way is a lyttle more laid back so people can be theyr true selves.

How does this vid only have 95k views! What an insightful interview. Chad demonstrates why the john wick movies are so good. Its a culmination of all his life and career experiences but now organized and disciplined enough to communicate to the outside world. His mindset not only makes him a great filmmaker but a leader of organizations.

I love this series. It's cool and interesting and gives me such a better understanding of what goes into making martial arts action sequences. Really great, thank you for putting this series together. As a huge fan of martial arts and action I'm grateful for this.
