As well as the HS2 works, by Hampton-in-Arden they're building a new junction for the M42 (J5A) to give a more direct link to the airport. It's why you can only enter there from the east, as they're building the junction on the other side of it.

Hi Scott, from what I remember of that yard in Birmingham where you load sawdust the potholes are that bad it makes the area of Whatley Quarry where I have to be loaded with washed sand look good 😅😅 I have been in and out of there this past week for the best part of two days😳 the worst bit is getting back up the hill after leaving, miss a gear shift and you have to start from first gear again😂, have a good week and see you at Devon Truck Show 😊

I need to bring to your attention Scott the seriousness of what happened at 8:52. Briefly, a young driver loading bales walked down the side of the trailer whilst he was being loaded and one fell off and unfortunately killed him, he was only 25 years old and had only recently started as a HGV driver. With you having so many viewers it would be good if you could just mention not to stand by a trailer whilst it is being loaded. Enjoyed the video Scott take care and have a good week Sir.

Thanks, Scott, for another great video in plentiful sunny weather. Speaking of not wanting to use the wipers when you have squished bugs on the windscreen.....back in the mid-1970ties, I used to have a Plymouth Valiant 4-door sedan, which had a foot-activated windscreen-washer pump (not unlike the hi/low-beam foot switches of those days). It was really great to be able to spray the washer-fluid on the windscreen first, so as to le the speed-generated wind distribute the fluid across the glass-surface, before activating the wipers. Did a much better job to clean, than the AI-guru designed current system, when the wipers activate at the same time as the spray.....grrrr. Not only that, than it wipes 3x across the screen, when two wipes would be sufficient (if you need one more you can always flick the wiper-switch one more time). Sorry, for ranting, but little things like that can spoil an otherwise great work-day. Come to think of it, my first tractor as an owner/operator in Canada ....a repossessed 1986 Freightliner-120, 6x4, with a 400 HP Cummins M-11 engine mated to a 15-speed direct-over Eaton-Fuller manual tranny and a 4.1 rear-end....the washer & wiper switches were also separate (and, one other plus point, the washer-reservoir was inside the cab, beneath the passenger-seat, i.e. kept nice and warm before being squirted onto the bristly-cold windscreen in the famous Canadian winters.). The good old days...

Timbuktu?!! hmm, I think Scotland, been a little while now, how about somewhere like Annon, Lockerbie, or Dumfries!!went to Edinbrugh back in March via Annon for my mother, nice little town, but roads were crap for vehicles, so taken a detour back out of Annon ignoring the Sat-nag for a bit, to try finding a better road, but didn't happen, unless taken the new bypass, which we did once on the way back, as went to Annon twice for bread for my grandfather who has been/is house bound since beginning of covid lockdown.
