My first shift in a class one on my own, turned up at the depot, sat on those lovely waiting room chairs with all the other agency drivers all waiting on their run. Clerk behind the desk asks us all if anyone has done their training on the ‘new Mercs’ yet (Actros about three weeks old and had been deemed too different to the Axor to be let loose in it without being properly trained how to use it). I had to stick my hand up and say yes, as I’d done my driving assessment in one end of previous week, assessor said then ‘I’ll sign you off on how to use one of these but they’re so new you probably won’t get to drive one for a while’. Ended up with a great first run from Livingston/Bathgate down to Annan in Dumfries & Galloway, completely uneventful apart from me chickening out of doing the return journey without having a 45 first, even though it had only taken me 2 hours to get there.

The "new" CF is indeed the XD. Then you go onto the XF, XG, XG+. No XE for some reason though... The new DAFs are to my eyes the best looking trucks on the road... After the Volvo FH5 though :p (as long as they're not specified with the "base" headlights which look horrid)

Drove a CF recently on agency and although it was a bit tired ( 700,000 km ) it was really comfy . Still think the quarter window you can't drop / open to see your mirror in crappy weather is a terrible design

Hi Scott, Amy, my daughter, and I have been trying the different flavours in the Holy taster pack, not been brave enough to try Alligator apple yet though😳 I was in Avonmouth the other week tipping muck away from building sites around Bristol, if you haven't found it yet there is a on route truck stop on Third way, fuel pumps there and looks clean, ideal for a comfort stop. Have a good week out and about for Amazon
