Nussmeier's struggles definitely partially stem from the fact that hes having to throw 40+ times a game because LSU can't run, and their O line has started to fall apart in pass pro the past few weeks too. That being said, all 3 picks he threw against A&M we're definitely preventable had he not tried to force a ball where it shouldn't go.
@ghostwalker89Ай бұрын
Nussmier’s struggles is that he likes to throw the ball into coverage a lot. This has nothing to do with throwing the ball a lot. How many turnovers did Sanders have last year? How many does he have this year? He also hasn't a run game either and has been sacked a bunch. This is nothing but removing the blame from the culprit. He has been lucky not to have 2+ more interceptions vs South Carolina, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and TAMU. Defenders have dropped tons of his ints. Could legit have 18 and 3 pick 6s if defenders could catch. I do not want him back at LSU next year. He has shown zero improvement in 4 years of not throwing ints. I remember excuses being made when he threw a bunch in practice this fall too. People had all the smoke for Daniels, but constantly make excuses for Nuss.
@icandoallthings5326Ай бұрын
Nussmeier is an anticipatory thrower. So if he gets fooled by the defense he will throw picks, especially if what he see pre-snap is not what the defense is actually in. But when he’s not fooled, he anticipates throws well and looks good
@ljy32swagАй бұрын
@@ghostwalker89 this is my exact comparison when people try to say it’s because he has no run game. Mind you we have better pass protection so he has better lanes to attempt to run through and instead he’ll wait and throw it into double, triple, and even quadruple coverage. Sanders was running for his life last year so I get why he couldn’t attempt to run. Sanders should be the best quarterback of the draft. This, however, is highly dependent on two things: first, the tens that drafts him can’t just throw him out to die behind a bad OLine and expect him to work with subpar skill position players. Second, and this may be bigger than most want to admit, but the coach and GM can’t let Prime be apart of the show, especially if he goes to a major media market. your intro let me know that you should not be speaking on this topic. No clear cut #1, what?!? The choice has never been clearer. 1. Milroe is Anthony Richardson 2.0. He is a running QB. Unlike people that use that term for slanderous porposes, he does not have the yards, accuracy or consistency, AS A QUARTERBACK, to be ranked in the top 5. He only gets into the conversation because he plays at Alabama. 2. Beck is a dumpster fire. Inaccurate, living off previous years accomplishments, and is a turnover machine. 3. Cam flirts with disaster every other week. He is a great talent, but he has put his team in situations that they had to come back from. He has the 10th best offensive line in the nation. Yet, he only has 600 more yards than the true #1 qb in this draft. And with better protection, he is only TWENTY SECOND in completion percentage?!? 4. If anyone is honestly saying that Shedeur is not the #1 prospect in this draft you either dont know football or you really hate the Sanders name. And i am not throwing that idea out there for impact or to be controversial. The man has an offensive line ranked in the 70's, yet he is is 4th in completion percentage - 4th. While being the 5th most sacked QB. So under pressure he is going to get the ball to where it needs to be and he is not going to put you in holes you have to dig yourself out of dang near all the time. While being precise with the dimes, he is 3 in TD's in all of college football. If you sit here and tell me you are confused or you can't legitimately see he is number one, then you clearly don't want to see it. If Shedeur was on Georgia's roster, they would be undefeated this year because he would get the ball to all the recievers with all the time he would have in the pocket - minus the turnovers. If he had Cam's line in Miami, you are not "almost" losing to Cal, and you would have been ahead of Georgia Tech because of the precision passes to the receivers. Neither of them could come to CU, with this O-line, and do what he is doing. Hell, they can't even be better than him now with excellent lines! There is no competition.

I could not agree more. The SEC bias is real. Milroe cracks under pressure, Beck is overhyped, Cam is good but the only reason he's even in the conversation is because of bad official calls. I'm not a fan of Shedeur, personally (Walking off the field when your team is losing is piss poor stuff), but you can't deny that he and Travis Hunter are layin' it down in CO.
@number1chiefROKKAАй бұрын
@ I appreciate you looking beyond that to recognize the actual talent. It’s not just SEC bias. It’s acting like there is a logjam or the competition is too close to call. With a middle of the pack o-line he is in the top 5 in percentage for passing. Imagine with actual support. His numbers would be ridiculous. So the fake confusion and bias has to stop.

I am not confident that there will be any quarterback in this draft class that will be a franchise NFL quarterback. A few may be good enough to be a league average NFL starting quarterback and a few more may be good enough to stick around a few years as a career backup. If I were an NFL GM, I would not want to rely on any of these quarterbacks to develop into my franchise quarterback.

Honestly I think Ward’s footwork and play style are absolute deal breakers. The stuff he is able to do in college will not fly in the NFL if he can’t fix his footwork and spontaneousess.

If I were hired this year as a new hc on a rebuilding team, I'd pass on qb till next year. I'd even trade away whatever talent left on the roster searching for 2026 first round picks instead of 2025 firsts. This year would be just a throw away season and wouldn't start seriously investing in building up the roster till next year

Ward, Sanders, Milroe, and Allar are my top 4 for me. Allar’s USC game is very overblown and 4 of his 5 picks weren’t even his fault.

Drew has been really good, just not having a star receiver has definitely killed his stats, you can't elevate a team with just good receivers.

With how many guys who might go back to school, we should really be talking about Will Howard more as a 4-7 round guy.

The problem with Quinn Ewers is his confidence believe it or not. When he is confident and he has proper blocking he is the best quarterback in this class, but like in the Georgia game when he doesn't have proper blocking and his confidence is shot he is like Sam Darnold with the Jets, and can't even throw to a wide open receiver.
@eaglewinnings8003Ай бұрын
Dillon Gabriel should apply for a 7th year of eligibility. 100% he’ll make more in NIL money than he would next year in the NFL because he’s a 6th or 7th round pick at best and likely a practice squad player in the NFL. I know he won’t get a 7th year but I agree with you. Being a QB for 6 years and 3 different schools is pretty stupid. I already know a bunch of QB’s who play for a certain team this year will be somewhere else next year. Same thing for not just QBs but everyone moves around even if they’re in a good environment because a school might come in and vulture one of your best players by simply offering more NIL money through the player’s agent. That’s absolutely 100% what happened to Gabriel. That and knowing he might get exposed badly in the SEC.

You keep saying shaduer has off the field issues but never have any evidence to back that up🤦🏽♂️ lose any credibility when you say stuff like that just because you don’t like the way someone carries themselves.

they mean how his confidence sometimes turns into arrogance, the NFL is a business at the end of the day and while there’s some nfl clubs that’ll take the chance on business like that a lot of others won’t. you don’t want the face of your franchise saying/doing arrogant things and then it goes the opposite way

When it comes to this draft class, I think there are plenty of QBs who can succeed in the NFL, but they will all be multi-season projects for the team that drafts them. I don't see a Stroud or Daniels coming out of this class.

honestly the qbs that i think could have a huge impact early is ewers and dart cause to be honest sanders and ward are really good qbs they really are but we have seen this time and time before the level of comp is just not there for me.
