ASU the so called sleeping giant has been awakened. Dillingham is going to build another Oregon in the southwest . He knows how to use the transfer portal and NIL to recruit top talent . Just look at the signees for 2025. A strong coach and program along with a very desirable place like Tempe with the atmosphere of ASU is again looking good to young players . I think this program will be a powerhouse again . ASU has to make sure they keep Coach Kenny happy and he will stay . The future of ASU is bright .

Sam not playing hurt in that one yes, and I would say it was the main reason. But it also was an example of Kenny’s aggressiveness backfiring. I like Dillingham because he’s not a 5 star diva guy. Everything he says on recruiting, he never mentions ranking or stars and there’s been multiple reports of him just being straight up with people. He told Skattebo in the offseason he will not make it to the NFL and needed to get leaner and faster. Most guys would leave, Skatt took it to heart and came back as a top RB. He also gave Leavitt a legit shot in the QB battle with Rashada which led to Rashada leaving to be QB3 at Georgia while Leavitt has been great all year. Herm was going after all these big time recruits and there was all types of locker room drama and no accountability. Dillingham seems to keep that accountability, finds his guys, while keeping the locker room positive

Arizona kind of got screwed by the departure of Jed Fisch for Washington. Still, even as a die hard bear-down-for-life Wildcats fan, who’s normally all “fuck the Devils”…I wish ASU well. This is one of the best seasons a college football team from the state of Arizona has ever had, and if they win the Natty, it will be the first time since the Diamondback’s World Series victory in ‘01 that the city of Phoenix (and indeed, the state as a whole) has won a major title. With the exception of the WNBA with the Mercury, the Rattlers of the Arena league, and Arizona MBB in the 90/, out sports history has been defined by either poor play or “close but no cigar” (the Suns have been to the Finals 3 TIMES and we managed to lose all three. The Cardinals 1 trip to the Super Bowl is too painful to bring up). Our sports teams have needed a W for a long time now, so in spite of my deep hatred for the Devils, I still hope they light a fire (a hellfire, if you will) under the asses of the College Football Elite

Life long Notre Dame fan here... After Notre Dame, the ONLY team I am cheering for is Arizona State. To me, the best Stories, in order would go: 4) Notre Dame FINALLY winning a Championship after such a long drought. 3) Indiana winning the Championship. To me, this would be infuriating and boring, but it would be a Cinderella story for sure. 2) Boise State winning the Championship. I know they are an underdog, but they also have a somewhat long-ish history of being the Team that defeats the College Football Blue Bloods. They have already had a few defining moments. So therefore... 1) Arizona State, only one years after winning 2 games all season, comes out of nowhere to not only secure a place in the first ever 12 Team College Football Playoffs, but also a First Round Bye! A FIRST ROUND BYE! And if Arizona State is to win the National Championship, they will do so by going through what is BY FAR the most difficult route for any of the teams, and any of the 4 teams who received a 1st round bye. They will have to play either Texas or Clemson in their first game. Their next will be against Tennessee, Ohio State, or Oregon. That is just to get TO the Championship Game! And in the Championship Game, awaiting them will most likely be another Top Ranked, Blue Blood Team such as Penn State, Notre Dame, or Georgia. Exactly NONE of that sounds like fun, nor is it an easy route. For example: Penn St could get to the Final Game by defeating SMU, then Boise St, and then either ND, Georgia, or if they are extremely lucky... Indiana. That is not comparable to Arizona State's route. Anyway, I am sorry this is so long. I am just really happy for AZ ST fans! Sincerely! My dream would be a Notre Dame vs Arizona State final! Could you possibly imagine?!? The ENTIRE COUNTRY would be so mad! So, Good Luck to Arizona State and all of its fans! This season has been amazing, and you all deserve it. I think its great that you got the Bye, and I am really looking forward to your first game in this Tournament! GOOD LUCK, SUN DEVILS! YOU GOT THIS! Go Irish! Go Sun Devils!

They also had so many QB injuries that they were starting a TE and a RB at QB. Anyone who paid even a little bit of attention would have predicted a significantly better season than 2023. 4.5 win total was a joke. Picked 16th in the big 12 was a joke. I wouldn't be so quick wit that Clemson is extremely mid and if they get by Texas I could easily see a rested hungry Arizona st. Team stompin in and honestly even if Texas does what their supposed to they have looked shaky at points in the season and again has to be stated haven't beaten a ranked team all year wouldn't shock me at all if ASU beats texas

Leavitt did, in fact play for MSU in 4 games. So many mistakes in this guy's narration.
