I was actually LaNorris's rec league football coach from 8u until 12u. We won the 9& 10 year old state championship. I drafted LaNorris when he was 7 to play on my team and immediately made him quarterback. I told my wife and friends back then this kid was gonna be special and he had not disappointed.

I remember my middle school team played against his and he threw for 4 to 5 touchdowns against us, it was insane. My mom said that night that “Carolina needs to recruit that kid” I always knew once he got to high school and was at least a junior his team was going to start winning as they were terrible before he got there and his senior year they went 15-0 and won the state championship. I always knew he had potential.

This kid went to my high school South Florence. The only reason he wasn't a big time recruit is he basically missed his junior year with an injury so the hype for him only was built up during his great senior year campaign. Kid led my South Florence Bruins to the state championship and the team basically dominated every opponent because of him. Sellers is a good kid I think he will be a great QB for the Gamecocks over the next couple of years. Nothing against Ashford but the Gamecocks are only going to be a middle of the road team next year so why waste a rebuilding year on a QB who is on the way out the door, if Beamer is smart he would get Sellers a bunch of experience next year so he can explode in his junior year.

Great work! Lanny isn’t a sure thing as all unproven QB’s are, but if you take away the minimum play limit his play to TD ratio was the highest of all QB’s in the SEC last year. He can do it.

This coming from the 2024 clemson game. Sellers is a heisman candidate. Easily. He gets more rushing yards and backs and has more passing yards than most qb. This man is the real deal. As a freshman youre getting the same yards as passing and rushing that a whole offense dose? Thats insanse.

I waa a little skeptical about Sellers. I sort of thought he was gonna be a big running back playing QB. Were now 3 games into 2024. He is still very raw on a team with nine new starters and a lot of freshmen and sophomores. He's made some mistakes but i can see the brilliance in him. If he stays healthy he will be a first round pick. This guy is special. There are probably 10 qbs in the SEC who will go in the first round when their time comes. Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas ×2 , SC , maybe Vandy , maybe Missouri, Ole Miss , maybe Arkansas, Alabama, and I'm probably leaving someone out. The SEC , where it truly JUST MEANS MORE. Not in the SEC ,but I'm a huge fan of Nebraskas qb.

You could do a ton of interesting QB prospects this year like sellers that aren’t just top guys like everyone else. Kaiden salter goin back to liberty, new likely Kentucky starter in Vandagriff, Heismiller from USC or Nelson transferring to Boise state are all interesting

I believe they should try to run a dual quarterback system like in the pinkins and Newton Era. Thought so last year and the year before. Keep the defense off balance and shake up things a bit. Use one for short yardage situations and one for normal playing time. Like Florida did with Chris Leak and Tim Tebow.

I'm a SC Gamecocks fan. The coaches suck. This kid is gonna take too long for the coaches to develop. The system isin't going to work around him. He COULD be great, imo as a receiver, but he won't be an SEC level QB. He will be an awesome runner. SC Gamecocks are so confused as to what they need out of a player it's ridiculous. They don't have the coaches to guide and help develop already great athletes, like Sellers. More money for players won't change that. More money for coaches will. We're an outside the top 25 team, at least we should be considering the money and talent in the state. Come to grips with that and it'll be an expected, nut not amazing, season.

Robby Ashford will be QB1 Dorty and Sellers will be QB2 and QB3

Doty played WR last year and will do the same this year. Ashford is going to have the same role he had at Auburn, taking a few snaps here and there. Outside of injury it's going to be Sellers. The schedule is another difficult one so even if thing go awry, much rather have the RS Freshman learn and struggle than a one year player that won't be there next year.
