U got to hold the trip button in as u turn key on and off and third time leave key in on position it will read codes

I was drivi g on the fwy and the check engine light on my pt cruiser came on then the car died. Had it towed home and did the key turn to get no code. It just said "done". Any advice?

So the computer dodn't get a code. The car probably died to fast for the computer to see the malfunction. A check engine light only comes on for emissions related component failure. Its not always the tell all to a diagnosis. In your case you now need to do a no start diagnosis manually to see if you are missing spark or fuel. You can check for spark by spraying starter fluid or brake fluid in the intake wile starting the car. I am assuming the the car cranks when you try to start it, right? Now, if the car starts then you know you are missing fuel. I'd check the fuel delivery system at that time. If the car still does not start then I would start looking into the ignition system such as spark plugs, coils, crank position sensor, etc. Let me know If this helps. I might make a video reply for you real soon. it'll be a different car but give you an idea.

My uncle has a 04 pt cruiser 2.4 l. Wont start has codes p 0522 and 0113 I replaced 0522 oil pressure sensor switch the 0113 sensor went off but still showing 0522 code and won't start weird any help?

Have you guys tried disconnecting the battery for a little bit? See if the computer will reset. I don't often recommend that but in no start issues like this I give it a try.

@Amy Wagner I didn't I advise You to take it to a shop all the videos I've watched and advice from mechanics I've heard so far has it pointing towards crank position sensor or the crank sensor unhook the fuel filter and see if gas is coming out and you'll know if the fuel pump is pumping fuel past the fuel filter that will tell you it's not the pump and if a coil pack or firing issue like the crank sensors crank position sensor or a wiring issue I would go with the crank sensors first most likely also u can have someone sit in the driver seat in bump the ignition to turn over and see if it's sparking by taking the spark plug wire off and sliding the spark plug boot up where you can see it hold it close enough to the spark plug and you can see if each one is getting spark or not works best in low light like dark or early morning Good Luck lmk

done means the self test is complete. if all you get is 'done' then you have no codes. If your check engine light is on and you have no code i would suspect a wiring issue.
