I wish every driver was as diligent and considerate as you obviously have been. Many thanks from someone who drives these roads daily as part of their work.

This video saved me today! Watched it before I got to Skye and I am so glad I did. I was humming the song all day, such a great tune. Thank you!

We are currently on our own trip the beautiful northwest highlands (Oldshoremore specifically) - I watched this video before I came and it was so helpful. Thank you! The bonus part is that the song has become our singalong anthem for this trip too!

I’m totally confident as a driver but I was quite nervous about single track roads. No need as long as you stick to the etiquette. John Connolly has written some good songs - Fiddlers Green is one of his most well known. 👍

We always let vehicles with a company logo and post vans etc. past as they have work to do. If you like the Isle of Skye, you’ll absolutely love the Isle of Mull. The roads are remarkably good. You can’t get lost either, since you’re on an island. All you have to do is keep driving and enjoying the scenery, and you’ll come to somewhere you recognise. I loved driving on single track roads. I find them easier to drive on than any other type. The road surface between Craignure and Tobermory is the best I’ve seen on an island.

Thanks for the comment. There was no copyright claim on the song but I emailed John Conolly to ask if he was ok with my using it. He was and he told me it was inspired by the single track roads of Mull (the mention of Tobermory in the song is a bit of a give-away!). Just curious - did you see a link to the video somewhere? It's tripled the number of views in the last couple of days - Chris.

@@DudAndElliesMotorhomeTrips I think it was in my recommendations. I was watching videos on dash cam footage around that time.

It may be the way you’ve worded it but your post implies that you deliberately hold up vehicles without logos. I’m sure this isn’t the case but you might want to clarify. As others have said RNLI, Coastguard, Mountain Rescue personnel often travel to shouts in their own vehicles. Best wishes.

@@HarryMac-Scotland Yes, it’s the way I’ve worded it. If someone behind us looks to be in a hurry, we let them pass at the earliest opporchancity. We only go to Mull on holiday, so we can take our time and let people past. It’s not as if it happens a lot.

Most people acknowledge. Always wave at other motorhomes wherever we are and most wave back.🖐

Such easy single tracks without a single pot hole to be seen. Our one and a half mile single track, formerly a pony with knapsack path was widened for carts and later for cars. It’s potholes and breaking up edges make for difficult driving and it’s narrow passing places made often into 😊a cliff side with explosives hardly wide enough for two cars to get by each other. Only one and a half miles, but having nine blind corners . A motor home can just about drive down without much bother, if owned by the driver. Rented may be another matter, especially when meeting another motor home. A motor home with no adverts on the side has you relaxing. You know he will pull in to let you pass to have himself a clear run at the next passing place. A rental will not even notice you and the other cars behind him until he meets a motor home coming the opposite way towing his convoy. Then the fun starts. Who gives way and starts all the reversing??? You have certainly painted an attractive advert for a holiday, but reality can speak differently I fear. 0:17

When you enter 'expert mode', you're will learn to judge correctly the situation... 'when is it acceptable to pull into the 'right hand' passing place to allow coaches or large trucks to have the straight line road ahead of them'? Please DO NOT attempt this manoeuvre till you have completed at least 500 flawless 'passes'.
