Lived there for a year and a half. We rated it as just ok. Covid pushed us back to the States. We hope to move back to maybe Alicante, we liked it much more. We lived in Greece in our younger days and Malta in 2017 - 2018 then Spain until Covid got bad. The wife is Scottish from Lanark.

I own a property in La Marina since 1998. I love the area it's a little England but I love it and I'm Irish. La Marina urbanisahtion is apparently the largest urbanisation in all of Europe

There are four commercial areas in La Marina urb which are busy during summer months. Strangely the urb comes under San Fulgencio village and not La Marina village council. There's a mix of British, Irish, Spanish, Belgian, German and Scandinavian, both full time residents and holiday home owners

We always use the La Marina beach in the summer, so have visited the urbanisation a few times for lunch first. Only been to the area you called the newer part. Even peak summer its not much busier than today. Never been there of an evening, so not sure what its like then. I liked the area and some nice properties, but too quiet for me. Our place is in Almoradi. Nice to see vids of places around us and not just focused on the main larger towns & resorts. Cheers

Costa Blanca is still up and coming; I think in a few years it will be busier and busier as people move from places like Malaga and Marbella due to high property prices here. I’ve spoken to many people who have sold their houses in Malaga etc. and moved up to Alicante, Torrevieja , Benidorm

23c in Andalucia jajaja Just to say I hope and pray there isn't a crash like 2008.Would be interested to know what estate agents are charging for fees now.I know when we came here 26years ago the two main players were Inter Royalty and Viva Estates which both are long gone..I wish I had a euro for all the changes we have seen.Some good some bad some different .A greeting.Venga mas tarde.

Another great video Myself and my wife will be relocating to Spain in three to five years , is there much of a crime rate over where you are as that’s where we are thinking about moving. I don’t know anything about Spanish living etc When I’m there I’m in a hotel that’s about it . Any information would be appreciated thanks

Theres squaters here and there,just get a alarm . Big cites lots of pick pockets. Hang out at discotecas fights , But still safe compared to the USA. exMichigan in 🇪🇸 Spain since 2000..

To be honest, where we have lived I don’t notice anything out of the ordinary. I feel just as safe here as Scotland. Sometimes more so. For example, in Scotland if I saw a group of teenagers at night I’d give them a wide berth. Here, I wouldn’t hesitate to walk on past as they seem much more respectful. Squatters are an issue where there are many empty holiday homes but I haven’t met anyone who has actually had a problem with it in the 3 years we’ve been here. Torrevieja was always a place I felt happy walking home at night etc.
